Something I guess I could consider prep work before I draw Goreagh. Looking over the Oni Kaiju's bio again I realized that I had never actually drawn Tojobin and thus never properly visualized how a demon merge would actually look like. The previous version was a bit too industrial looking. So here is the Turtle Yokai Tojobin who duled Goreagh to the death and lost. He's got reeds and stuff stuck to him for staying in one spot for a long time. I know I normally back this kind of stuff up with fluff but I might save things that are Tojobin related for plot lore that Shinji uncovers himself.Related content

How big was he...and how big was Goreagh when he fought this guy.

Typical fantasy monster sizes, so basically an ogre vs a dinosaur. He didn't reach kaiju sizes until well after the two more or less 'fused'.
Ogres tend to be around 15 to 20 feet tall on average. It was a very 'Godzilla Raids Again' style of fight with a much wider but shorter foe fighting a much taller but leaner foe.

Creepy as hell, and awesomely done. In a word, epic!

Good to finally get a look at this guy, and may I say I'm impressed. The long neck and almost human-like face look straight out of an oldschool woodblock, and are in that just starting to get into the uncanny valley feel yokai so comfortably occupy.

Thank you, I actually wanted to make him even crazier looking. Perhaps have given him that big boogly eyed look you see a lot of the yokai possesing but he get's these dark shifty lens instead

What a odd looking Turtle. Indeed this is a very delightful looking creature. Odd, wicked looking, scary history from reading the comments before... So did Goreagh kill Tojobin or is he still alive in KCELL?

Oh he's dead. If you read Goreagh's bio you'll find out that Goreagh killed him and basically assimilated him. Pretty much turned him into a large warclub.

Seriously I love Japanese Yokai and the lore/design going into them, there is just something...so... WRONG about them in design that works. Kappa for example, a bipedal, flat-shelled turtle man with a bowl on it's forward that kills children and sucks souls out the anus? That is terrifying. So a giant turtle with an old man's face is on the right track here.
Speaking of which, why do I want to make a KAS "Gensokyo" all of a sudden?

Who says he doesn't have anything to do with that particular hobby . Villagers wanted him and his ilk gone for a reason. The old man's dead but his progeny are still around...stalking rivers...giving out free colonoscopies.
KAS Gensokyo would make some degree of sense. Yokai gotta come from somewhere lol. Mt Fuji has had creepy shit going on for hundreds of years...perhaps something is hidden under there?

There are tons of creepy ass places in Japan KAS Gensokyo could be under, a forest of suicides that they actually find three hundred plus new dead bodies there every year? Needless to say KAS Gensokyo won't be filled with cute little monster girls... Oni who "spirit away" their victims for unknown purposes? check. Kappa who suck the soul/enigma out from any hole they find in the body? check. Forces that posses objects and turn them into demonic creatures? check. Hell, this could well be a nice Kaitheros/Shimaku adventure while we are at it, lol. And we also have a place where KAS Goreagh can come from.
