I'm really proud of this picture XDD ^^ =3 except her eyes, they're too big. Oh, and her freaky fishnetting. I think I made it waaay to uneven >< sorry. And the folds on her shirt DX

I hate drawing feet, so very, very much XDDD

Um... so yeah. Here's her bio, if anyone's interested. Sorry it's so long. But like, there'd be alot of spoilers here, if you wanted to read the fic XD but I'm sure you guys wouldn't want to XDD so what does it matter?

Goals: To redeem herself for all the terrible things she did as one of the mist’s swordsmen. Other than that, Kotone lacks any sort of ambition whatsoever, besides maybe training Ruri XDD for no apparent reason XDD

Fears: Bad luck ,especially Tetraphobia- a fear of the number 4.( She refuses to get out of bed on April 4th XD) Also fears something bad happening to Ruri

Ruri: Jay’s Awesome OC~ n.n Oh god XDDD I can honestly say that currently this is Kotone’s only relationship with anybody. And the only friendly one she’s had with anybody for years prior XDD Kotone’s reasoning for traveling with Ruri are odd. Ruri’s deafness made her of very little use ( a burden, if anything) but as far as Kotone was concerned, They were both in the same boat, figuratively speaking, since they were both missing nin, both on the run from the tracker nin, and both pretty damn alone in the world XD Ruri needed a teacher, and Kotone needed something to do to keep herself from dying of boredom XD Training Ruri would do nicely.

Kotone thinks of her initially as student. But soon, more as a friend. Ruri’s unusually mature for a kid her age, and Kotone unusually immature XDDD so they get along fairly well XDDD If anything, Kotone annoys the hell out of Ruri XDD not the other way around. Eventually, Kotone sees Ruri almost as thought she were a younger sister, and becomes borderline overprotective of her Student XDD She trusts Ruri’s skill, and judgment, but worries about her often.

Of course, Kotone really isn’t one to be excessively sentimental, and really can’t think of a reason why she’d agree to take Ruri on as a student. XD Her usual joking excuse is that Ruri is “the perfect height to lean on,” and even goes as far as to refer to her as Hijikake, meaning “armrest.”

Kasumi Shinju( in the fic, not the RP. I may post a bio of her someday too XDD) Shinju can’t really be called a friend of Kotone’s, though not an enemy. Disliking their Kage’s cruelty, Shinju’s a strong, pacific activist, trying to start some sort of uprising XD which is difficult to do without being discovered. Their village is pretty screwed up XDDD Anyways, Both hate the Mizukage, but Kotone’s rank and position as one of the Kiri no Shinobigatana Nananin Shu makes it difficult for her to do anything without his knowing. She’s on a pretty short metaphorical leash XD Shinju thinks she’s an insane, bloodthirsty coward. Kotone thinks Shinju’s an idealistic pansy XDD ( for anyone who cares, I’m with Shinju XDDDD Kotone’s way of solving things- Usually violence- doesn’t get anyone anywhere XD Shinju’s the only really like... non violent OC in the fic XD) Anyways. Kotone’s way of thinking changes, as she realizes that Shinju had the right idea. Before Defecting Kirigakure, she tells Shinju this, and that since she can’t help Shinju directly, the most she can do is to stop acting against Shinju’s good goals, by leaving the village, thereby ending her loyalty to the Mizukage, and refusing to follow any more dishonest orders he may give her.

Battle:

Level: Jonin

Basic Techniques: Mizu bunshin, Kirigakure no Jutsu, substitution, Henge, that stuff XDD Taijutsu. Kotone’s a pretty close range fighter, and uses physical combat more than Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.

She spent a long while on the Village’s assassination unit, but her role was usually that of interrogator, and was often sent after targets that they needed information from, and couldn’t be killed immediately. Still, Kotone’s skills are very stealth-oriented.

Skill with a weapon: The weapon linked to the spot in the Kiri no Shinobigatana Nanani, was ( ok, I suck at designing things, so please forgive the lameness) is an oversized Shikoro ken (“saw sword” large, square, and has one sharp serrated side. Ok, so, because the edges are pretty much straight, really it looks more like an oversized bread knife XDD

Special Techniques: Kuchiyose no jutsu: Summoning contract with cats. There are a lot, naturally the larger stronger ones being harder to control, and using more chakra. ( Nothing Gamabunta sized, of course XDDD they’re like, built like whatever type of feline they would be) She teaches Ruri this technique.

- Is also capable of summoning her weapon. Kotone’s jobs that require posing as something other than a ninja would make carrying the stupid thing dumb. When walking around however, she’d prefer to keep it on her back, since it would take much less time to draw than to pull out a scroll and summon it.

Personality: sarcastic, highly morbid sense of humor, and a generally laid back nature, which sometimes makes her seem out of it, or just plain stupid. Uses a casual confidence to hide nervousness during a fight. Thinks a lot, highly analytical, can ‘think on her feet’ well.

History: ( this is very brief XDDD I may make a more complete version, like I did for Gin’s profile. I’m going to make it really short, because A, I’m lazy, and B, it’s a spoiler to anyone who wants to read my story. Ok, So that’s not gonna happen. No one’d want to read my dumb story XDD I’m a crappy writer. I’m just lazy.) Born in Mizu no kuni. Mother died when she was born, father who never really payed attention to his daughter, died when she was six. She spent a few months living on her own in the street, stealing food. She was caught one day by a shopkeeper and given to the kirigakure shinobi academy. Graduated ( it was after the massacre, so she didn’t have to do the whole “killing someone to pass” thing) chunin, jonin, blah blah blah XD lots of crap, all in the fic. Accepted into the Shinobigatana after an impressive career in the village’s assassination unit. Left the village, met Ruri, ( I’d like the record to show that she had nothing to do With Ruri’s leaving XDDD that was her own choice, they met later.) And...yeah XDD

Extra info:
-There are three Maneki Neko attached to Kotone’s Shikoro Ken. A Mi-ke or “ three colour” cat, (which brings luck) A red cat ( to prevent illness) and a black cat ( to ward off evil)

- Has sworn off killing. XD not fighting completely, though. She’ll still defend herself, or Ruri if the situation calls for it.

- To facilitate communication between the two, Kotone’s spent an amazing amount of time learning the expansive set of hand gestures her student uses to communicate. Ruri can speak, and reads lips exceptionally well, but the sign language makes it easier for them to communicate when looking each other in the face, as Ruri’d need to do to understand Kotone, is impractical.

- Kotone has about 20/30 maybe 20/40 vision. XD so, she needs glasses, but refuses to get them. When bothered to, when the problem first surfaced, ( one of her training partners noticed how horrible her aim was getting XD) Her answer was that she was afraid of becoming dependant on them, stating that “ I’d Rather accept the world as kinda blurry than be totally lost if my glasses fall off.” While fighting, Kotone navigates mostly using sound anyways, so she sees no real reason to bother. Learning the summoning jutsu was meant to compensate for her poor eyesight. As ashamed as she is to admit it, she considers Ruri’s exceptionally good eyesight a great asset, as their abilities compliment each other well. If Kotone doesn’t hear you, Ruri will see you. Or visa versa.

- Kotone states on several occasions that Ruri and herself are absolutely nothing alike.

- She dreads the day Ruri becomes interested in boys XD stating that “they’re nothing but trouble.” This stems from the fact that, as embarrassed as she is to admit it, Kotone has been in love, and had her heart broken rather badly XDD But don’t worry XDD there’ll be no sappy return of said person XDD as the dude Kotone had been sorta-kinda-a lot, pretty-onesidedly paired with is very, very dead XDD (Just for the record, it was the same guy who commented on her crappy eyesight XDDD) Yay for Rps where I don’t have to write sap! XDDDDD *Hit with a rubber chicken* By extension, she feels kind of guilty that her nomadic life as a nuke nin ruins almost any chance Ruri has of making friends, or boyfriends for that matter.

-Traveling with a kid who’s afraid of being out during the day has made Kotone damn near Nocturnal XDD

- Kotone’s insane superstitiousness is probably the result of the anxiety and perpetual stress of her lifestyle. Orphaned at a young age, and having to take care of herself, before being caught trying to steal herself some food, and being brought to the Kirigakure academy-which was anything but pleasant- made her early childhood pretty scary. Feeling anxious, tens and frightened almost constantly, for reasons she wasn’t quite old enough to comprehend, she began assigning her worries to things, such as the number four, because being afraid, and not knowing why is scary in itself. Naturally, the transferral of everyday terror and panic to random little superstitions would persist as her rank as a ninja increased, and with it, the danger she faced. Then she spent a long time worrying about the dude mentioned earlier, who she loved very much XD and who I’m not going to mention, because it’s a stupid pairing XDDD And of course, now has the MOST to worry about XDDDD Being a nuke nin now, she’d have to worry about her survival constantly, and worse still, worry about Ruri’s. Kotone realizes that while to some extent, she can keep Ruri safe, but the fact that the she’s now associated with an ex-member of the Shinobigatana puts her in more danger than if she was alone. XD I don’t think she’d be able to live with herself if anything happened to the poor kid XDDD

- And finally XDD I say this only to assure you that in NO WAY is Ruri “Kotone’s Haku”. Far from it. In fact XDDD If I had to compare them to any other set of student and their teacher XD It would be Jiraiya and Naruto. Jay and I just went through a bunch of similarities XD none of which we had considered before, so they were all totally coincidental XDDDDDDD it was so scary, it was hilarious. With the exception of their personalities, which differ greatly ( mostly so between Naruto and Ruri) they’re remarkably similar, especially in their ways of interacting between one another.
