Description
I started this on paper at the end of last year; using a photo as a reference (and although they didn't look quite exact) this was my very recent outcome.The original is a lot better; the scanner killed this one. Since the original is A3 and my scanner is A4, had to put it together, giving an odd line in the middle that I did my best to edit and fix up.
Nonetheless, I am still happy with the outcome. Some more traditional work <3
Oddly enough, I used a variety of media for this; paints for the BG, derwent pencils, ball point and felt tip pen for details and white out for lighter details.

This image is rather old. I started with the tiger first, but that's because I used pencils. When it comes to painting, always do the background first, and work your way forward. With pencils, you can do as you wish

neat, freedom! one of the things I run into in pencils is that I get concentrated on one area too much and then the whole picture is off.. I really liked "through the jungle" because it was "together" it was flowing, how'd ya do that?!?!?!?

To be honest, that's how I feel about my Through The Jungle piece. I really messed up on the background and it kinda' takes away from the subject. Sometimes with art, mistakes can actually make a piece better. Maybe that's what happened here

This is absolutely fantastic! You've captured the fur and the expression to perfection. I really can't find anything to criticise, it's perfect! The subdued lighting really gives a the feel and texture of a jungle.

You're very welcome. Btw, glad to see a fellow Spyro fan. ^__^ He was the best on the first 3 PS1 games though. The new ones are horrific to me, to say the least. The gameboy advance ones weren't too bad I guess. ^^
