lack of inspiration....attempt at a somewhat abstract vector.

Initially when I decided to do this piece it was just to serve as a distraction, a warm up of some sort to get my imagination "popping" for a manip I was working on at the time.

In browsing I came across an image of a tiger that I thought was pretty intense and decided to re-immortalize it as a vector. The flames came about from me trying to get comfortable with the pen tool while trying to make the style/texture of the vector a bit different. I like that the "flames" aren't perfect swirls, it gives the piece a rugged/wild feel. As for colouring, I thought the calming blue would be a nice twist- which for me almost automatically meant the background had to be yellow or orange- keeping with the flame idea and complementary colour scheme.
