Heeeeeeeeeeeello! I'm finally back!
In order to “celebrate” my return, I made this doll... Do you guys know Jamiroquai?
If you don't (hooow??), you should TOTALLY get to know them now! Jamiroquai is an amazing British band. Anyway, I'm not gonna tell their story here because it's kinda long and I don't know ~everything~... But why should it matter? They are SO FINE!
I love almost every song by them that I know, and one of my all time favs is Cosmic Girl. It was also the first song by them that I listened to.
Anyway xD This is my art concept of how the girl from Cosmic Girl would look like. I sketched her during some of my classes (as always... xD) and later drew her on my "official" drawing book. However, the colors and the umbrella's galaxy effect didn't come out exactly as I wanted, and I got very mad with myself... So when I had my laptop repaired I decided that the first doll I would make would be the right version of my Cosmic Girl. And I think it worked this time... ;D
If you know the song's lyrics, you'll see that I tried to make the girl accurate to it - like the "stars as her umbrella" part. I even managed to put a quasar in the background. :3
I would LOVE Jay Kay to see this, but I don't think that's possible… As far as I'm concerned, Jay doesn't enter thaaaat much in the band's facebook account or post things in the website himself, and I really wouldn't like to post it and leave it there. I may sound a bit stupid , but I'm afraid other Jamiroquai fans would use the artwork without permission. Something like that happened to one of my friends once (not with jamiroquai), and it only makes me more frightened.
Anyway, I hope you like her just like I did – I think this is my favorite doll that was made by me. 8D (it HAD to be, it's also the one who took me the longest time to finish lol). Can you spot the buffalo man? 8D
