Personality:

For much of his life, Naon has been alone or unwelcome, so he tends to be quiet and might linger in the background. He gets cautious around anyone or anything he is unfamiliar with. He tries not to let it show, but all of the other people he has met have been unfriendly towards him, so his first instinct is to be nervous and will act guarded to account for any unfamiliar situations that might not turn out in his favor. Despite all that, Naon is curious and strong willed by nature, so if he becomes interested in something, he will seek it out and stick with it, even if it causes him some discomfort. Even though he's used to being alone, he still greatly enjoys company, and will more often than not try to be sociable.

He always hopes for the best outcome, so Naon tries his best to be kind to everyone he meets, regardless of his opinion about them. As he becomes more familiar with someone, he will become a bit more playful, meaning that there is enough trust for him to let his guard down a bit. When Naon considers someone a true friend, he takes it very seriously, and is would be very dedicated to them, wanting to make sure that they are happy and safe. If he trusts them enough, he will do almost anything for them, only being outranked by the core he carries with him.

History:

Summary/TL;DR
Naon Uyon woke up in a forest in the middle of a dark world. He was the only one of his kind, but he was happy. He learned to fight off other Ves Kua who threatened to destroy his forest, but eventually the core of the forest was ripped out while he was fighting one Ves Kua off. He caught the second one and took back the core, but it was too late. His forest crumbled around him, and Naon was forced to leave with a few supplies, including the faded core in hopes of finding a way to restore it, or at the very least, keep it alive. He wandered around and took refuge in other forests that he was strong enough to take on, but it became more dangerous to do so with other groups of Ves Kua wandering the area.

Naon eventually found a large forest with dozens of his kind living there. In exchange for using it as shelter, Naon brought them the cores of other forests. They accepted his offerings, but were never friendly towards him. He was only seen as a tool to make their forest grow. Naon continued this way for decades, but Naon could only travel for about 10 days and there would soon be no forests close enough for him to get to in time.

Around town, he heard rumors of something with a massive amount of energy. Naon had hopes that the energy would be able to help him create a new home. Though he wasn't sure if it were true, it was his only hope and so he set out to find it. Naon walked as far as possibly could, growing weak from keeping himself and his forest's core alive. Naon sat down in the darkness and clung to the core he had carried for all the years. Naon refused to let his core die. He absolutely had to find a new place to call home... [and the rest depends on if the train appears for him y y]

Long Version

Naon Uyon first woke up just like any other Ves Kua would, atop a magnificent shining tree. He was the first protector of his tree, and he was the only one, but he was never lonely. The tree grew a wonderful forest for him to live in. He wasn't alone at all. He was surrounded by life, and he was happy, but beyond the forest was a different story. Beyond the small forest, there was only darkness, only the Usevinde. Naon could sense a faint energy in several directions, but there was also uneasiness. He knew he could not leave, he had to protect his home, he just didn't know what from.

The days passed by and the forest grew more dense, but so did Naon's uneasiness. Inevitably, when Naon had only been awake for a year, he was met face to face with another Ves Kua. They were not from his forest, and he felt a strong sense of hostility coming from them. Naon was reluctant to fight, but he knew he had to protect his forest and his tree. Naon knew he had to take the other's life.

A total of 5 years had gone by, and Naon became adept at protecting his tree from the wandering threats that passed by on occasion. His hair that was once a silky white had now turned dark as the Usevinde. The forests domain had grown much larger than it was, and it became increasingly difficult for Naon to defend the tree. He sensed another intruder and went nearer to the border to fight it off, but a dread came over him, knowing something wasn't right. Naon rushed back to the center of the forest, where the tree lay, finding a second intruder there who had already taken the tree's core. Naon quickly killed the second intruder and took the core back, but his tree had continued to fade. His tree was dying. Naon's home, his family, his life would soon become nothing.

Naon sat at the base of the tree for days, watching the forest he grew up with wither and crumble around him. He clung onto the fading core, pleading for this to stop. To no avail, everything continued to die. He had no idea if there would be any way to save the core or return life to his forest, but he couldn't just sit there and not try. Driven forward by a small sense of hope, Naon climed up the dying tree and gathered some of the leaves that were still alive. He made a makeshift bag and put the core and some materials inside. It pained him to leave, but the air was getting thin, and he knew the home he loved was no longer safe.

Following his instincts, Naon wandered toward the nearest energy core he could sense. His curiosity was finally answered. The energies he felt for all those years were other forests, just like his own, but he no longer just had curiosity, he had a purpose. No matter what, Naon had to stay alive and keep the core of his forest safe. Naon killed the Ves Kua that lived there and took shelter there for awhile, but was eventually met with others that were after the tree's core. This wasn't Naon's forest, and it wasn't worth the risk to save it anyways, so he just left to the next forest he found. Naon was able to stay alive this way, and he was relieved to see that even though the core from his tree had gotten very dim, it was still alive. He continued this way for many years, but it became increasingly difficult, as more and more Ves Kua started to show up. Around this time, Naon came across an astoundingly large forest. There were several others guarding it, but they were not hostile towards him, because he posed no threat. However, they wouldn't let him enter either. Naon roamed around outside of it for a few days. He saw many of the Ves Kua come and go. The ones returning were all bringing back cores from other forests, so Naon set off to do the same.

When he returned with several cores, the others still did not welcome him, but they did not fight him off either. Naon cautiously walked deeper into the forest with his offerings. Nearing the center, the forest thinned out, and there were dozens of the other Ves Kua living there peacefully. One of them came up to Naon and lead him over to a place for him to eat and rest. They took the cores he brought, and left him alone, but kept watch. The core from Naon's forest was too small and went unnoticed. He rested, but when he woke up, he was forced back out into the Usevinde. Naon collected more cores and came back. They let him in, and he repeated this process for decades, watching the land around him grow and flourish. Over time, the others became less cautious around him, but they still avoided him and were unfriendly towards him. Naon was seen as just a tool, and he accepted that fact and got used to being alone, routinely going in and out of the forest again and again to keep himself and the his core alive.

Finding other forests became increasingly more difficult as time went on. In the beginning, Naon could gather many cores in a single day, but it came to the point where he had to take an eight day trip to find one core. If the trend continued, Naon knew he wouldn't be able to find cores fast enough. Already, the trips out barely left him with enough energy to return. There was only one other option Naon could think of. For awhile, there had been rumors around about a powerful source of energy that was said to travel through the Usevinde. Because it didn't stay in one place, it was extremely hard to find. Naon tried to ask around about it to anyone who would talk to him. They didn't say much, but he got the impression that it might be powerful enough to help him restore his core and give him a new home. Though it was extremely unreliable, and might not even exist, this was all Naon had to hope for. With that thought in mind, he set out like he would any other day, and just walked.

As expected, Naon didn't pass any other trees. For the first few days, he saw a passing Ves Kua or two, but after that, all that surrounded him was the Usevinde. Day ten came along, and the burden of traveling through the Usevinde and keeping his core alive became too much. Naon sat down in the darkness and clung to the core he had carried for all the years. Naon refused to let his core die. He absolutely had to find a new place to call home... [and the rest depends on if the train appears for him y y]

Skills:

>>Life
This isn't a power so much as it is a state of being. Normally energy is shared between a Ves Kua and it's tree, but it can be shared with any living thing. Noan constantly emits small amounts of energy. It's effect can make plants grow and can soothe humans/living creatures. The effect isn't very great, for example if Naon slept in a patch of grass, the grass around him would become overgrown by morning. As he is, Naon cannot control these effects.
>>Stealth
Naon, like all Ves Kua, can change the quality of his skin to reflect a minimal amount of light (appearing to turn black). The area of effect covers most of the body, making him nearly invisible in dark settings. This skill is somewhat voluntary and only takes about 3 seconds to completely change. When Naon get's nervous, he will darken out of instinct. This attribute makes hiding in the daytime very difficult, but it works very well on dark nights.
>>Shapeshifting
>Usually only used in close ranges, Naon can change the structure of his lower arms. When fighting, he can toughen and sharpen his lower arms and hands, using them to stab or claw at opposing threats. He can do the same with his lower legs and feet, used mainly for climbing.
>Alternatively, Naon change the structure of his lower legs, changing their shape to make it easier to run away. The main problem with this is that it makes a sturdy attacking stance more difficult.
>Use of shapeshifting is similar to flexing a muscle. It can be used at any time, but Naon will become fatigued if he has to keep it up for more than a few minutes.
**Also, like any Ves Kua, Naon can shapeshift fully to change gender, but this takes a great deal of energy (like passing out for a week) and he is strongly opposed to it. Not gonna happen.
>>Sense
By using his ears and tail to sense any life energy, Naon can get a pretty good read on his surroundings. He can sense energy for about half a mile, but it's only clear enough to understand detail in closer ranges. The distance is similar to how far anyone could see on a well lit day, but this is only if uninhibited by objects. However, if he were trying to hide, this wouldn't be a good idea because of how bright they are. Additionally, if there's too many people around, it can be too overwhelming and he will not use them.

Weaknesses: (in addition to any mentioned above)

>>Senses Easily Overwhelmed
It becomes harder to read surroundings in populated places/places with a lot of life energy. For example, a human standing behind a tree would be more difficult to spot, because both things would give an energy read, whereas a human hiding behind a wall would be easy to pick up on.
>>Not Adept at Long Fights
Prolonged use of shapeshifting in one go will result in fatigue. In this case, Naon still may be able to fight, but not with any sort of weapon.
>>Ineffective Head-On
Can have difficulty landing an attack on an enemy without the aid of stealth. It's important that he gets in a good position for attack and defeat his enemy quickly, since he can't take attacks very well, aside from dodging.
>>Physical Limitations
Naon is unable to wear any arm/leg armor because of shapeshifting. Also, he will only wear lighter (cloth/leather) armor for the free range of motion needed to fit his fighting style.

My lit RP's are usually more the length of the first paragraph, but since I'm just RPing alone as an example, it's a bit longer. u///u;;

Naon felt an overwhelming sense of peacefulness as he opened his eyes. Above him, he could see the dazzling colors of of leaves belonging to the tree in which he lay, and he admired the stunning whiteness of the branches that starkly contrasted the blackness of the Usevinde. Slowly, he got up from the pillowy center and wandered out towards the edge of the tree, looking out into the darkness that surrounded the forest. He knew he would have to go out there one day, but he took solace in the fact that it wouldn't be any time soon. Naon headed back to the center and lay back down. The air was still, and he could feel the warmth of the tree embrace him. Closing his eyes again, Naon drifted off to sleep.

Regaining consciousness, Naon felt around before opening his eyes. His hand bumped into a cold, hard surface. Confused, he opened his eyes, only to see the wall of a dimly lit room. The warmth he had felt seemed to fade away as the realization that he was not at home returned to him. His home had fallen over a century ago, and though he remembered it so well, this was not a familiar wall from his home, but a wall of The World Train. Naon curled up into a ball, burying his face into the thin sheets he had been supplied with, trying to bring back that illusion of warmth and happiness, but the feeling had already gone completely. He stayed there for a long moment before sitting up and looking around the room. Many of the passengers were sleeping, so the air was still, and it was quiet for the most part, but occasionally he would hear some passerby's in the hallway.  He leaned against the unfamiliar wall, thinking about all of the different passengers he had seen so far. Perhaps, he thought, he didn't have to feel so alone. This place was him home for now and somehow, some day, Naon hoped he would find a way to become happy about that fact.
