PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personality:
[ +Selfless | +Optimistic | +Easygoing | +Reliable (for important things) | =Competetive | =Blindly Devoted | -Forgetful | -Irresponsible | -Distracted | -Insecure ]
At first glance, watching Min-su dancing on the soccer field at 5am, you might just think he's strange, or you might want to get to know him better. Often sporting a carefree attitude, Min-su gives off a sort of naive vibe, but he's much more complex if you get to know him. Valuing the respect and happiness of his friends and teammates, he will often to out of his way to make sure they're doing alright, even if it would inconvenience him. He believes the people around him are a reflection of himself, so if something is bothering them, he blames himself for not doing enough. Although he's usually pretty lighthearted, if there is a serious situation, he can act very mature.
He's the type of person to give you the shirt off his back if you ask him for it and not ask why. If you turn to him and say "Right, Min-su?", he'll say "Right!" even though he has no idea what you were asking him about. Guided by his personal image of what a good person is, he tries his best to be that person for others. A good person that might forget that you had plans together that day because he was busy organizing his sock drawer...
Min-su lives for praise and attention, but only when he feels that he's earned it. While he may seem like someone who would want to be a team captain, he isn't at all interested. Min-su shies away from responsibilities that he can't handle on his own. Although he wants other to reply on him, he has a difficult time allowing himself to rely on others. If something is troubling him, he'd rather let it get worse than ask for help.
Biography:
Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Min-su is the second born son to a successful architect and a little known theater actress. As any good parents would, they wanted their children to get good grades in school. Min-su was never particularly good in most school subjects, while his brother would get almost perfect grades. He would get bored or distracted easily, and didn't have the patience to sit in a stuffy room all day. In other aspects of his life as well, his brother Su-bin seemed to outshine him at almost everything. In their social circles, Min-su was known as "the cute little brother", while his older brother was thought of as "the handsome, smart, responsible older brother". While Min-su was jealous of his brother for having so much attention, his brother was jealous of him. The expectations from their parents weighed much more heavily on Su-bin, and he was spiteful towards Min-su because of it. Min-su seemed to be having more fun, and got lectured less for his bad grades.
As they got older, their parents got increasingly more busy between work and their younger sisters, so they encouraged the brothers to enroll in after school clubs. Su-bin chose soccer, since a friend of his was already in it. Min-su, being competitive, chose soccer as well. After not long, his brother stopped going, unable to keep up with schoolwork, while Min-su's grades stayed the same. Min-su found himself really enjoying soccer, so he stuck with it, even after his brother left. Whenever he would do good in a game, his parents would shower him with praise, just like when Su-bin would get perfect scores in school. He gave up his childish rivalry with his brother, and focused instead on being a good teammate and improving his ability in the sport.
As college approached, Min-su felt unsure of his path. His brother's destiny was pretty much predetermined from the start. He would follow in their father's shoes, promised a good recommendation for a good job. Min-su considered going to a sports college, but he decided against it. Feeling uneasy about who he really was, he decided he wanted to move out right after he graduated to find some clarity and independence away from any family pressures. As a compromise, Min-su would attend a college for general studies while working a part time job, and living on his own. As the year came to an end, he may not have noticed it in himself, but it was obvious to everyone around him that he would be unhappy if he kept on this way. With a lot of encouragement from his college friends and coworkers, Min-su begged his parents to let him apply for a transfer to Seungri. His dreams may be distant, but there's truly no place he would be happier. If he is accepted, his parents agreed they would pay for school, if Min-su continues to work hard and pay for his own living expenses.
