Description Hectate is TWENTY-FOUR ; 24 years old!

Joined. :I

Name: Hectate

Gender: Female

Rank: Shadow

Strength of the Calling

: (Expert)

Personality: Hectate is more of a fast mood changer, or short tempered. Originally, she will be very gentle and careful with her pack-mates and others. Often she likes to gallop about and around her pack area, and feel the wind through her fur, which she'll feel at peace. Hectate is an intelligent, wise canine, often known of that, and will aid with information when needed. Many want to know why she hadn't of been a beta with a brain so smart. The Shadow will also be playful when she is bored or her friends get silly. She is determined and committed to any duties the alpha will give his pack and or her alone. She will, though, snap and be aggressive to others who assume to annoy her constantly, talk behind her back, pick a fight, and more in that category.

Family: Hectate currently has no family.

Biography: A small, little pup, no fur on it's skin, felt soft licks on their back, their skin being pushed back each time. It squealed frightened, opening it's jaws, but hardly any sound erupted from it's throat. A smell had swirled around the newly born pink canine, clouding out every other scent. It was warm, thick, and it made the pup's stomach growl with hunger. The little animal crawled, destined for whatever lay before it, to where it emitted from. A nudge was felt on it's back side, launching it forth. The wolf pup's snout went into something warm, comforting, soft; the stomach area of their mother. With other pups beside the youngest, it felt around, nudging their siblings, before noticing where they scented the hungering clasps of a milky dew haze around them. It began to feed from where their sisters and brothers were having their share, relieved and comforted by warm nudges. "Oh my love.. they are so precious." Said Sayna, the mother of her pups. "Yes, they are, dear." Spoke Xarn, the father. Sayna smiled warmly, nuzzling her mate's neck lovingly, looking down, "You should name them first." Her voice said, making Xarn feel as if it swirled around his ears like a song, nodding. "The oldest one, the tough young male, that will be Svarke. The other boy, he looks like Svarke also; he should be named Jtal. I think you should name your daughter, dear. It would only be fair for you to share in name-giving." Spoke the tall, grey wolf. Sayna nodded, looking down with her careful yellow gaze. "Her name will be Hectate, I've wanted to always name her after a powerful wolf." The white wolf said, nuzzling her pups. "Your choice is very suitable. Our family has a strong bond already." Xarn spoke, while Hectate, Jtal and Svarke pushed against one another, still frightened of the new world lay out for them.
"Come on mom!" Howled Jtal happily, running around and dashing after Hectate, who turned around and stood on her back legs, chuckling and waving her paws "mightily" in the air. Sayna chuckled, Xarn trotting with Svarke biting at his ankles playfully. "Oh, how silly we are today!" She growled in a humerous way, her white fur ruffling through the wind peacefully. Hectate looked over, smiling widely and bounding up to her mother, twiddling playfully through her legs before running up behind Xarn. She jumped onto his back, growling and biting his fur carefully as the grey and brown wolf was crouched down, looking at Svarke with eyes that mentioned humor and excitement. He chuckled, sitting down, Hectate sliding down his back and landing with an "Oof!" Sayna picked her up by her scruff, putting her in front of her and nuzzling the brown, grey and white pup. Jtal bounded up, leaping and falling at Xarn's large paws, crashing onto Svarke's side who squealed. Jtal smiled mischievously, pouncing onto his brother's stomach, the brothers beginning to wrestle, growl, and chuckle. Sayna laid down beside her mate, aiming her nose to the sky while the breeze went through the exploring family. They were still in Northern Pack territory, but a loud screech erupted the quiet peace in the distance, disappearing. Xarn suddenly felt tense, his lips curling into a pink gummed, sharp toothed expression, ears lowered. Sayna looked up, worried. "What's wrong?" She barked quietly, wagging her tail with fear. Before the large wolf could say anything, the sharp twinge of claws raked his neck, causing him to bowl over the white, yellow eyed wolf with a wound impaled. Svarke and Jtal squealed a shriveled tune, staring at large birds that stood over Xarn. Sayna snarled loudly, headbutting one in the side and biting it's wing. There was a group of five; the upper body of a huge eagle and the lower body of a might lion. A loud caw growled from one of their throats, plunging it's claws into Sayna's hind body and scraping back, her fur lightly protecting and reducing the claws ways of inflicting deep pain. She howled for a second, whipping around and launching onto it's neck, wrestling it. Xarn stared in disbelief, shaking the talons off and snapping onto one's arm, causing it to squawk and shake it off. While two occupied Sayna, the two free gryphons attacked Xarn, clawing his sides, back and legs before making him snarl and release, whining in pain. Sayna was pushed to the ground, the black talons threatening her neck to death. One smashed their beak into her head, causing her to pass out and leaving a wound that seemed would scar. Xarn was mauled like his mate, before being dragged off back to their territory. Jtal, Svarke and Hectate were witnesses, so the two who weren't helping the others lift the adult canines off and to camp, snatched the small, helpless pups up, soaring back with their friends to territory. The siblings were squealing, yipping, barking, and making attempts of howls to alert their pack-mates. Hardly anything reached across...
In quite a while, a hard landing was felt upon the surface of a camp, leaving three little bodies attempting to pick themselves up from impact. Hectate recollected with her brothers, shivering from how cold it felt, extreme winds blowing around and about. Their parents were released onto the ground also, some collected around the wolves and inspecting them. "Go bury them." One ordered; they looked like a high mighty gryphon, possibly the beta or alpha by guess. The surrounding gryphons nodded, latching their claws onto the scruffs and arms, soaring down the mountain to soil loosened for easy burial. As the high gryphon watched their wings fly out of sight from mist, it quickly snapped around, glaring at the little wolves in the distance. "Why were they brought here! They are witnesses, they should be killed! Take them to somewhere else, imprison them! We mustn't let them go back to their pack with information that can lead to all going into war!" He screeched loudly, the gryphons picking them up with talons wrapped around them, fitting their shape in exact. The quickly sped up when the alpha snapped an unusual tune. One of them looked around, while the other stared at the two wolves in claws. "Hrmph. I must say, they are quite cute--" The determined gryphon swiped his black, sharp nails onto the others cheek, glaring. "Shut up, and help me, you nincompoop!" He screeched, flicking his tail, the curly fur on the end waving through the breeze. He then smiled, coming up with an idea. "Winyarrk, stay with the pups while I go tell the alpha something." Said Thurrakak, dropping Hectate by Winyarrk and running back to the camp area. Winyarrk sighed, looking at the pups, putting them on the ground next to him. Svarke and Jtal shuddered next to each other with fright in their fur, Hectate squealing and slowly approaching her brothers, huddling next to them. Thurrakak returned with the ebony colored animal, staring at Winyarrk with the three little pups. "Yes, good idea. You and your friend will sit and guard these pups from running away. Feed them bones when you feast. Two others will take your place as of night time. You will be switching frequently until they die." He spoke loud and clearly, shoving Thurrakak up to Winyarrk and walking away to tend to important deeds. The snowy white gryphon Winyarrk looked at the golden colored Thurrakak, growling unhappily, raising his claws to swipe Winyarrk's cheek again. He stopped, mid air, and purposely missed his face, winding around and turning to where dainty sunlight was, the other flock-mate following hastily. Hectate stared at them, fear on her face. They were going to starve..us..?
Days passed, and stomachs ached in pain, as Svarke, Jtal, and Hectate were being as promised; starved until they died. Winyarrk looked back with sympathy, looking at Thurrakak who finally went to get his share of food. Smiling lightly, the arctic gryphon shot a piece of his food to one of the pups, staring and gobbling it up quickly. Thurrakak returned, his bright, shimmering golden feathers glistening before laying down again. He sliced open the skin of a rodent, carelessly ripping out bones and putting them in front of the pups. When he would finally get them all out, it was easy to eat; just eat whats left of the body! He sneered and cackled to himself, shaking his head. "Soon we won't need to spend any more time wasting our days on these idiotic beings, and return to doing whatever else!" The arrogant creature said, clicking his beak loudly. Svarke jumped, digging his face into Jtal's back. Hectate wrapped herself around Jtal. He was weakest of them all, coughing up ground up bones in a mushy, white, saliva caressed ball that splattered onto the cold ground. They sighed, resting their breaths as they slept together; a family of three, no longer five. Just siblings now...
It was long passed now. Jtal has passed away, he was too weak to do anything. The gryphons thought he was sleeping the rest of his life out, but they soon found that his body was decaying. They took the frozen pup and buried him with his parents, respectful after what they are going through. Hectate and Svarke were whimpering, nuzzling one another, hardly ever speaking. The wind was still cold, and frozen flakes brushed up into their pelts. They looked like they had more fur on their bodies than fuzz. It had been so rough, and still eating bones, coughing up what Jtal had been doing, and losing fluids from their bodies. It was going well, planned as been, Thurrakak and Winyarrk were nearly done having to do their duties. All before the Northern Pack had ambushed to recollect what is rightfully theirs...
The alpha of Northern Pack growled fiercely, staring at the alpha of the gryphons. "So you see now why we killed your precious little wolves, and starving their pups!" The gryphon said with a crooked smile. The tall black wolf stared at him, disbelief was clouded in his eyes already. "You want ME to believe such a story that is so childlike? You will cause war, you imbecile! Give us back the pups, now!" The wolf growled ferociously, teeth bared and tail raised. The ebony gryphon rolled his eyes, cackling. "You want me to give back witnesses? Oh, wait.. you already know.. but still. We've killed three, we have two to go!" He smirked, unfolding his wings to the massive height. "We'll leave peacefully if you just give our young back." He growled, staring. "Fine, I don't really care anymore, Thurrakak, Winyarrk! Give them to them! I don't want their smelly lifeless bodies!" The ebony colored creature crowed. The alpha of the pack snarled defensively, snapping the pups from the gryphons before inflicting pain to their necks, letting blood drip from their necks in payback. The pack quickly dashed away, the ebony gryphon glaring, and the two who got pain where coughing.
Hectate and Svarke were swinging from the alpha's mouth, blinking and coughing with dry throats. The black wolf neared the camp with the wards by his side. Hectate looked at her brother, licking her mouth inside and back down, whimpering and beginning to cry faintly. Svarke wasn't moving, breathing, or blinking. He died. Hectate's whimpers were loud, alerting the alpha and making him dash out his pack, stopping at the clearing and staring around, putting them on the ground. Hectate slowly got up, nosing Svarke and licking his cheek. "Wake up.." She whispered silently to her brother, betas rushing out and inspecting the young pups. "Svarke is dead. Hectate is the only survivor.." The female announced, snatching up Hectate quickly and running to their den, the male beta nodding to the alpha and getting whatever prey was available, trailing after his partner. The alpha looked down at the lifeless pup, feeling guilty. "Why couldn't we of done this faster, we could of saved all three of them." He whispered, shaking his head. "We needed to plan. Their safer." A ward said, comforting their friend.
Betas looked out, nudging Hectate carefully outside. She still slightly wobbled from being so weak and dependent. They smiled; she was healthy now, and she needed to exercise. She stretched her arms, smiling and looking back. "I can walk! I can!" She howled to herself, prancing around with a bit of twinge every now and then. She stopped, sitting down and breathing quietly, resting herself within minutes. She still needed to rebuild herself.
It was naming ceremony now, and Hectate was stronger, and faster. There was a new Alpha in charge; Storm has taken rank of Alpha after beating the previous one at a challenge. The young wolf was being named a pride filled, loving Shadow. "She has earned her rank after gathering herself so quickly, and we all are sure she can serve her pack with ease." He spoke loud and clear, nodding to the brown, white and grey wolf. She smiled widely. She was finally the rank she wanted to be. Now she lives in peace and harmony, serving her pack with everyone else. Hectate still remembers her family, but it had been years. The flock of gryphons have probably received a new alpha, one that was more heart warming and thoughtful. The shadow will know that her family is galloping through meadows, waiting patiently for her to join. She still has a long way to go.

Roleplay Example: A rustle in the bushes, was merely nothing. But it was something; yellow and blue eyes appeared, and a lithe shape came from them carefully. She flicked her ears, slowly strolling by, leisurely breathing. It was night time, and a white puff of mist appeared from her mouth steadily. Her middle-lengthen pelt was swirled by the calm, cold breeze, letting her smile in the moon's radiance. It was full, on a beautiful dark night too. Hectate looked down, her paws planting the rough dirty path, and she began to speed up. Eventually she was galloping, going through bushes and twirling through trees, laughing freely to herself. This was the time she could enjoy herself, a night so perfect. She jumped around and about. Up rocks, down little heaps of dirt, before reaching a clear field. She looked up, sitting down in the middle of it, staring at the moon. Usually wolves would howl at it, but this was the night to just be calm and peaceful. She laid down, rolling onto her back, huge paws hanging in the air. The shadow leaned her head back, closing her eyes, enjoying how comfortable she was. Eventually, she rolled onto her side, drifting into a dream that would be merrily happily. So soon, but so speechless, these only occurred once every month.
