Oh God this picture. I have fought with this bastard for ages. I am not happy. I decided I will not be happy and I need to move on. I tried some new things, coloring with Paint Tool Sai, a program I am wholly unfamiliar with. The inking came out nice. The coloring.. I felt as though I were trying to push a bison through my left nostril. It was painful and not pretty. I suck at new things. Also I am terrible at weapons. Forgive me for that scythe.Anyway! Chrono Trigger DS, new translation, new stuff, and I am torn between my love for this game and my not liking Akira Toriyama's work that much.
So I draw Magus. I kept the sprite color for the cloak, too..

Actually, the scythe looks great. my only nitpick is that (to me at least) his hair seems oddly green, and his expression looks like he's in the middle of a loud drunk belch.

I think you did good--and definitely a helluva lot better than the hordes of giggling fangirls who insist on drawing the guy with BISHOUNEN SPARKLEEEES. Fffff. Here's to Magus pictures that actually look like Magus. Cheers.

Fangirls really should be given their wish--they should get to meet the (frequently mean, angry, violent, armed) characters they fawn over and mangle. I think things would probably work themselves out nicely from there.

Oh, God. Not some imagery I'm going to look up. :T I mean, if you want to go for the 'kill Magus' ending where Frog is human again, that's one thing.
People need to just like Magus for who he is. If they want some fabulous androgyny, that's what he hired Flea for.. For the glitter.

Well, it looks pretty damn good to me. O_o The shine on his hair is beautiful, and I love the edgelighting on his clothing. The cyan swirls in the background add an appropriately mystical, foreboding touch.

I love Magus... I can't draw full body pictures of him though... because umm >\\\\< I can't ever make his man part area look right.
I like how you did his hair and his mouth. His eyes are particularly glowy-ish and I think that is really cool!
