Umm, no. We played a bit with the timeline, making this convo a flashback. So, basically Kris took Aldi home, promised to stay with him and then Val called mumbling something in a raspy voice, probably asking if everything was fine with Aldi. After that Kris rushed to Val where they had this unpleasant conversation and Kris left. And now Aldi is taking shower and thinking about what had happened between him and Kris.
I put a "half an hour ago" note on the previous page and tried to make colors visibly different, so that it looked like a flash-back...

Actually, I think a lot of people have hard times choosing between someone they like and someone they are dating (and also like, but maybe not that much). Those people are afraid to hurt one of then and eventually hurt both. I don't mean to say that Kris is acting right, but i think it's quite usual thing.
