We were always intent on creating round recap comics like this from the get go in the sense that if any major developments were to happen they'd warrant a focus in these strips, this is more or less to give the feeling of a setting where the contestants rounds have an active impact on the setting they're currently in.  This does also mean this applies to both positive and negative outcomes, so when we find ourselves in a situation where a contestant describes in their entry the visually violent nature of their fight it's going to catch the attention of the NPC collective.  In regards to the canon nature of this we're trying to aim for a balance between entries re-capped, by this we mean though both entries fights would of played out in some collaborative way in-universe, the winner still remains the winner regardless.

It was planned to have a round recap kind of like a play-by-play with each round taking a couple of entries.  This one literally stood out which made it not only be the big event on the server but in universe it has future repercussions that'll play out for the remainder of the tournament.  It's not really meant to be like this big petty thing even though it can come off like that but it does show that you probably shouldn't do this in universe because of the ripple effects it can have.  It actually was a scenario that I didn't account for.
