I'm a little unclear where this guy should keep his knife.. in one of the previous pages it is on his right hip, since he is left handed, because this is the way a sword would be carried, but wouldn't a shorter knife be carried on the other side? The rebels' king had given standing orders that they are not allowed to talk to the enemy. Garlen is now home, so he can talk.

I've a large folding knife for the last 15 or so years, always on the side of my right hand. So yeah, you carry a short knife the same way you carry a sword, unless you're trying to hide it or it's a last resort because there's something more useful (or more-often-used) next to your strong hand.
As for the comic, I totally did not see that coming. Can't wait for the next page!

One of the best things I love about this story is its twists and turns that make you go "oh dear, this looks bad" on one page and then the next has you laughing about how it turns out.
I was really happy when I saw that the original story was being continued and always smile when I see a new page of the this story posted.
