Description
A long promised gift artwork for my friendIt shows the Wasteland Warrior DRAKON, sitting on his battle mech MARAUDER and gazing over a vanished city.
This picture took quite a while, but offered a welcome chance to draw a mech again. Hope, you like it, Drakon!

Hey Hey endlich mal wieder was neues vom "Wastland Warrior".
Wirklich wieder mal ein beeindruckendes Bild.
Aber... ich bin etwas bewandert im "Battletech" Universum und der Mauruder ist um einiges Größer als sie ihn auf diesem Bild in relation mir Drakon dargestellt haben.
Trotz allem ein geniales Bild.

Die idee des Nachdenklichen Drakon gegen den Sonnenaufgang ist irgentwie nett ich glaube eine solche Szene wäre passend für meine Geschichte.
(Welche eh schon sehr schwermütig ist auch ohne den Kalten Krieg zwischen Menschen und Hybriden)

Als ich das letzte mal Kontakt mit ihm hatte meinte er die Ideen wären gut und umsetzbar, Leider ist der Kontackt irgentwie abgerissen.

Ah the mech design, it was from mechwarrior, but it also appeared in Macross as a zentrandi enemy mech design.

Yep, it IS a battle mech from "BATTLETECH" (MechWarrior is the PC version of this universe).

Insane. Just after looking on the pic I noticed the cannon mount looks really subtle for such a weapon! XD

NONETHELESS the picture sure has atmosphere! (which reveals only after commenting the gun, blah me)
It is nicely and technically made (the mech) and it has that cartoony look. If it fits or not, I wont judge

I'm glad, the atmosphere is appropiate... usually, I just draw a character and that is it. But this time, I wanted the "end of world" atmosphere, too.

I've heard already many opinions about Mechs and their hypothetical usefulness / uselessness on a batlefield and I'm kinda skeptic about them as well (High profile, low speed, too many poking-out parts etc). But its not you who should hear that, since its an 'invention' of other people
Yup, and you drew a machine as well. In fantasy pics it wouldnt have such a punch to atmosphere (E.g. Devon standing near a Ballista? uh duh

uwww, mein respekt, ich finde, mechanische dinge sind unglaublich schwer zu zeichnen. sie haben sehr viele details, aber man weiß irgendwie nicht, wie man sie unterbringen soll, sodass sie gut aussehen... geh zumindest mir immer so xD
