Summer, Year 758 of the New Age
Silverthorne, Ash Plains - the Winterflame

The girls moved quickly, their brisk walk a near jog as the last colors of dusk settled across the horizon. Summer in Silverthorne was warm, but the evening brought a refreshing breeze, as the temperature across the Ash Plains began to drop as the first evening stars glowed brightly. The evening appeared to be a promising one – with comfortable temperatures, insects that chirped with their nightly noises, and the hunting eyes of owls glimmered as they darted across the darkening sky. Vanessëa, or Vanny as her family and dearest friends referred to her, stretched her long nimble legs and settled into a comfortable pace. Moving towards the Winterflame was just natural for her - she felt summoned, as if she belonged to its magic and the teachings of the elders that guarded it.

And to make the night even better, she had the pleasure of travelling with Vanmoriel, otherwise known fondly as Mora. The sisters had both finished with their herd duties at approximately the same time in the evening – and Mora volunteered to accompany Vanny to the Winterflame, where the girls could spend an evening catching up with each other and bonding over their fire magic skills. The sisters were very close to one another, and Mora understood Vanny's preferences for periods of silence and reflection – she could travel easily with her sister, the girls able to communicate with each other without the use of words. Mora was also very light and fast-footed, and able to keep pace with Vanny's speed, which was something not many of the other fawnlings enjoyed doing after a long days work.

They saw the smoke billowing upwards, dancing in the light wind as it made its way towards the starry sky, as they approached the thriving flames. The fire roared in glowing shades of yellow, oranges and reds, and emitted a heat that warmed the sisters to their very core. Vanny and Mora slowed their approach to an easy walk, and came forth to the edge of the circle, heads bowed down to show their reverence and respect for the elders present, who maintained and guarded the sacred flame.

One of the elders moved towards the girls, gently tilting his chin down in recognition of the girls. Then a smile formed in the corner of his mouth, as he said "ah Vanessëa, I thought you might be coming back again this evening." His eyes twinkled in delight, "And I see you have brought your sister with you. I am pleased to see you are excited to continue your studies and practices – soon I shall have two new Fire bringers on my hands."

He beckoned them forward, "Come forth. We shall work on feeding the fire tonight, and adding our strength to its power and flames…"

This was originally to be part of the Christmas lineup – but alas I did not finish in time (like months behind, LOL). So I decided to go ahead and finish it up as an RP, where you can begin to see the sister's interacting and what their interests are.
