Just as the sun setsAnd the darkness takes over,
My tears will fall
In their silenced grace.
One by one
They will fall,
But not a sound
Will be uttered
From my lips.
Suffering in silence
Has been my veil;
Strength has been
My mask over weakness.
As soon as I look
At my reflection,
My veil and mask
Disappear from sight.
All I see is
How I really am,
But everyone else
Sees my mask and veil.
That keeps me
Hidden from the world
And everyone
In it.
