✦ PERSONALITY ✦

Organized | Cooperative | Soft-hearted | Careful | Hard-working

Pessimistic | Forgetful | Skittish | Insecure | Weak-willed

A soft sort, pulled along by the tides of time, fate, and circumstance. Cordelia is first and foremost someone that seems unassuming; though a skittish and fretful undercurrent runs through them, on the surface they seem quiet but kind. It's easier to navigate things they've rehearsed or are used to, and unravels a bit more when thrown into situations they're not prepared for. They shut down in the face of extreme pressure, swirling feelings of doubt and fear clouding their judgement, but on good days they can manage. They try and be cooperative to bolster that, to help make tangible connections in a world that's constantly changing, and find themselves drawn to people despite their reservations.

Unfortunately, it's hard to remember things at times, their long-term memory dubious at best. Like water slipping through fingers, Cordelia forgets things like important dates, scheduled appointment times, and directions to places as easily as they breathe. It's led to them taking extreme care to keep their life organized; planners filled with sticky notes and colored reminders, calendars marked, and phone apps primed for easy access to aid further.

It's a bit of a hassle, but anything helps.

✦ HISTORY / BIO ✦

Memories of the beginning..are murky. Eroded with time. But what's certain is the fact that Cordelia woke up at the center of the remains of a campsite, most of it destroyed from what could've been a sinkhole—or a meteor. She paid it little mind, scavenging what was left, and then began to walk. Where? Anywhere. She walked until she found some semblance of civilization, and collapsed on the doorstep of a house in the countryside.

The next years were spent under the care of the owner of that house; a woman getting up in years who Cordelia eventually regarded as a grandmother. She taught them how to read, write, and write down anything they were afraid to forget. Life was simple, but good; the whispers became noticeable sometime around then, but they could never find the source. They tried to put it aside, at least until their grandmother passed away.

Without anything anchoring them beyond the items inside the house—concrete memories of the elder who took care of them—they eventually packed up. There were more whispers and a tugging at their heart...something that felt like it was egging them on to go elsewhere. They took as many mementos of their grandmother as they could and sold the house, as it could not come along with them, and then traveled far away. The years shift and turn, technologies changing and people moving away like trains on tracks.

What's important, now, is that time and a feeling carried Cordelia towards Starfelle. They settled down in the city a few years ago, made a place for themselves, and picked up life again. The thrumming in their soul says this is the place, it's fine to settle here. So they spend their days working at the Museum of Art, admiring the people and following the remnants of history that live in every piece.

✦ INVENTORY ✦

[PLANNER] Cordelia's most important possession; it carries all of her notes to herself, as well as important dates, times, and schedules. It looks very well loved.

✦ TRIVIA / FUNFACTS / OTHER ✦

☆Loves visiting the town's museums; it's as easy to find them there as it is a local cafe.

☆Isn't very fond of alcohol. They may settle into a bar to people watch, sometimes, but they'd rather order a shirley temple than a long island iced tea.

☆They like drawing, and tend to draw the people around them when they've nothing to do. Being caught is, uhm, embarrassing, though. They try to be subtle.

☆They're pretty professional when on the job, as it's easy to simply rehearse things they've said a hundred times before. They keep their hair in a bun while at work, with the hair clips they usually wear situated at the base.

☆Loves classic literature. Through the Looking Glass and Anne of Green Gables are two of their favorites.
