Btw, it's a funny fact that your female Wesker looks quite like Ada. XD They really are similar in a certain way.

Does she? I don't really think so. That's not how I draw Ada, anyway. xD;
But thanks, I guess. c:

I guess it's because this isn't the way that I draw Ada. especially not the hair, at any rate. Ada's got bangs, like, actual bangs. and the glasses are entirely coincidence; Wesker wears sunglasses all the time - I just wanted to give the gender bent Wesker more effeminate glasses. I didn't even remember that Ada wore glasses in RE4. e__e;; Maybe I'll have to do some comparison notes to try and flesh them out. mlehhh.
Sorry, I didn't think that you were suggesting they "belong together" or anything. I just really don't like the character of Ada Wong. I wouldn't want (my interpretation of) female!Wesker being associated with her.

Then I'm sorry. I didn't want to write something that unpleasant to you. But well, I guess I'm the only one who saw it this way, so you don't really have to worry about it. In first place I still like your interpretation of Wesker and Birkin, no matter if male or female, as I already wrote somewhere in a comment on this picture. Even though I'm not a fan of gender bend at all, but they are just so in-character in your art! (Or at least, they really seem very in-character to me, because it's just the way I see them.) So I'm really sorry for the remark about Ada. (I like her though, but as I wrote before, I don't mind if someone has another opinion, so I won't try to persuade anyone of my opinion.)

Hooray! More GBing on the horizon. Always good to see more from you (muhaha)
(Seriously though, why do I always comment so late on these things)
On the subject of drawings girls; I'd say the hands (and to an extent the arms) and a little manly. Wendy's pointer finger is fine, but the rest to me look a bit big. Girls hands have to be slim and dainty in artwork.
Wesker's cleaverge needs to be a bit more obvious (strange I say that, I'm against girls being over sexiefied) but it doesn't really stand out and doesn't make her look as feminine. (I think female Wesker would be one who'd want to emphiasise her feminity, in my pics this mainly comes across in her choice of clothing and such)
The general model of Christiana looks the right kindof proportion for a girl, especially with the belt making her waist line look nice and slim.

HURM yes. More and more. Little by little. I don't want it to overwhelm my gallery, but I'll try to update more of it as I go. eue
(bah, it's fine. I forgive you. x3)
Ugh, I know about the hand thing. Hands have always been a challenge for me to try to draw in a more 'feminine' manner. I just need to knock it off with defining the knuckles and work to 'slim' down the fingers. I'm actually pretty fond of Birkin's one hand (left) and Wesker's hand with the nail file (second image - right hand), but I'll agree that I need to keep working. HURM. The problem is that I have rather masculine looking hands, so self reference is out. :C
As for Wesker's boobages - I'm actually very satisfied with how big they are here. I mean in one image she's wearing a suit, and the other she's wearing a kevlar vest. She's an A-cup, so I'm happy with how 'toned down' they look. She's still got boobs, but I didn't draw them huge. I'll try to draw them just a LITTLE bigger in the future, but I don't want to push it to much, because I only seem capable of big-jugs or mosquito-bits and between the two options I pick the mosquito-bites all the way. Her boobages are much more obvious later in her RE4/UC look with the slim and a-line turtleneck top, but a bullet-proof vest really doesn't do much for a girl's figure, and the suit (70s) is more to look business-y/professional than to hold any real sexual appeal. But I guess it's because "my" female Wesker isn't overly concerned with emphasizing her femininity--which his kind of the whole joke. XD;; I've heard mixed reviews really, but most of the comments have said to keep her how she is and not try to push it any further/make her more feminine, which was a little surprising. So now I'm not too sure. XD;; In my head, after this little incident Wesker spent the next two weeks or so dressing herself up a little bit more out of insecurity over Christina's thoughtless words. So maybe I should draw some sketches about that, just for you. eue FFFF.
And speaking of Christina--Chris' supposed to have a very average/atypical female physique, so I'm glad to hear it. I moved the belt that usually goes around his mid-waist up beneath her cleavage in order to help accentuate her boobies. C:
All in all it boils down to just needing more practice. MORE MORE MORE. But thank you for the critiques, they're very helpful and make me a bit more conscious of things I can focus on more in the future. c:

Do whatever you want to do (I donβt want to force you into doing more Genderbending. (I suppose Iβm actually just happy to see you drawing some more female characters and such (youshoulddrawClairecough))
Well either grab one of your friends hands and just draw them like crazy As you say, itβs just a matter of practice.
I think Weskers hand position was nice, it still felt a bit big to me. I think itβs more that her arm looks a little big to me and that her wrist is kindof bony (itβs one of these which is fine on a man, but like defining knuckles and such, doesnβt look as attractive on a woman)
The thing is, in my head, I did previously state in my pics Wesker doesnβt have the biggest breasts out of all the other RE girls, so even in my pics I donβt generally over-emphasise her cleavage, her CV uniform has the packs that conveniently go over her chest, and they probably more have the effect of making her cleavage look larger. There was also bits I did with her RE5 costume I changed to make it more feminine [link] (actually the way that costume looks is heavily based off a Marvel character). If I go and look at it again, Iβd probably add some elements of Jillβs battlesuit as well.
But I think Wesker is someone whose very confident in her sexuality, so sheβs not scared to show it off (possibly even use it to her advantage on occasion) and whoβd want to look as stylish as she can. It also makes a contrast to say, Christiana, who generally dresses and acts a lot more tomboyish in comparison. But I canβt see Wesker as being anything other than absolutely confident in herself.
But all of my general habits in this area generally rise from my comic book roots. Where itβs always generally obvious with girls and such. That andβ¦ well, I generally like drawing girls, and strong female characters. So I like being able to emphasise the strong and feminine aspects in them.
(I think that would cool to see )
Also just observing people is great, during a period of the REGenderbending I just kept looking at people and thinking βoh, they look niceβ βoh, I like that girls clothesβ βthey look really stylish and thatβs a wonderful combination of clothesβ (I also spent time staring at police officers, wondering if I could borrow their jackets for my Wesker cosplay)
I suppose your artwork is kindof anime, but semi-realistic, my stuff is more cartoony.
Also, often when thinking about costume designs and such, I think in terms of: but thatβs how Capcom would do it/but this is a videogame, when you think more about what makes the character look good rather than what would actually be practical. Take Jill for example; switching a flak jacket for some flimsy shoulder pads and a shirt because one looks nicer (there isnβt really other reason)
But since my laws have originated from comics and cartoons, Iβve based it on the two absolute contrasts in drawings the two genders, and then honing it in from there, in this guys work; you can never really mistake a girl for a guy in his because theyβre too different [link] [link]
Oh and as for female hands. I just found this: [link]
But as you say, by the end of the day, it ultimately comes down to practice

One drawing at a time, you're making me fall in love with the idea of Chris/Wesker/Birkin being lesbian women.
Woman Wesker being turned on by science also nearly killed me from laughing. <3

So I guess that means that I just have to ship them as ladies too! eue;
Of course science turns Wesker on. SO OBVIOUS. But I'm glad that you got a laugh out of it. And hahaha your last comment made me laugh. X'D

Ah, Thank you very much. And sorry about how late my response is.
Bwahaha, thank you. X'D I'm glad that you enjoy.
fufufufu, I am quite confident in my sexuality, so I don't care: guys are hot but girls can be attractive on occasion; it's all about dat presence.
aha! well thank you very much. I take that as a big complement!! Some people don't think that they look feminine enough, but I kind of like them how they are. I still really should learn how to draw women though. Figure drawing class this semester is really helping with that. I still want for them to be immediately recognizable as a female version of their male halves.
and that's ok, I LOVE long comments! I just didn't get a chance to reply until now.
