Description
This is a digital painting of Peridot's Spaceship, from the show "Steven Universe"I would love to have some feedback that might help me improve my skills in drawing and painting.

I like how the atmosphere around the hand shows that it isn't just floating about, but it's actually speeding towards the planet. I didn't notice it t first, but I also see the thin layer of blue lighting surrounding the Earth and moon, this works really well actually, it draws your attention not to the outlines of the two spheres like it would have done without this detail, but it also signifies how far the stars are since they themselves are dimmer in comparison. I want to say something about the clouds since they keep drawing my attention and seem off to me somehow, but in the show the clouds are pretty proportional with each other so I think I can knock out the similar sizes of them. I can't say what it is about them, but their texture looks great! They're fluffy like you would think they should be, and a few of them are even transparent. I like how you added texture more or less to the green surface of the Earth to keep it from looking flat and bland, that was a nice touch, as well as the technique used on the water, though I'm sure they would still look different from the altitude the ship is at presently, it keeps the whole work from looking flat and dull, so yeah. That's all I can say besides Great Job!

This is one of my favorite paintings, but as I did it a pretty long time ago, today I look at it and notice somethings that could be better or that I could not get right at the time. Many of these were just mentioned by you in this feedback.
Thank you very much for your honest feedback. This is something I seek very hard everywhere I post my stuff, so I can improve my skills. And day by day, art by art, I can turn into a better artist.
EDIT: Sorry it took me too long to reply. I've been pretty busy with tests and stuff. I've actually read your comment before, but I wanted to reply when I had time to formulate and reformulate what I'm writing. I got a little time today that was enough to do that.

The lighting on the spaceship is really effective, it caught my eye right away.

I'm very glad it did, I put a lot of effort in there. I can only remember my computer nearly blowing up when I was rendering it, which made it pretty hard to keep going on
But I made it in the end. Thanks for the feedback, that really means a lot for me in terms of improving so my next art can get even better.

I am really glad you liked it, DisneyToonDino. The shading was a time consuming part, I wanted to make it look as perfect as possible, so I spent a really long time working on it. My computer suffered a lot with this piece, so it makes me really happy to see that people liked it.

This is beautiful! The colors match and the shading is perfect. The only thing I can think of is that the earth isn't fully covered in woods, so maybe a little variation there, but on the other hand that could possibly screw up the color sceme and put the ship in less focuss. O well, good job!!!!

Thanks a lot for your feedback MtLoveTacos. I did not like the earth texture of the woods either, I could do a much better job without taking off the attention from the ship, because it is very evident in the scene, it has a high contrast, it is large and... Well, it is a hand

The hand shading is amazing! I don't know about how to improve more your artwork, but maybe some stars variations? I honestly don't think that will help much but it is fine! Keep up the good work!
