This is probably my favourite OC yet, Reverie-! I realized I didn't have any smol OCs so I was asking around in the server for ideas, and Cirno literally just said something like "hm what if chess" and here we are-

So basically she's a rook piece, but insists she's actually the rare princess piece despite that not even being a thing. As such she expects to be treated with the same respect as royalty, and is way too confident in trying to get that treatment from others many times her size. Reverie also refers to people by their assumed rank, usually "peasant" which gets her in trouble a lot, though she never knows why. To her peasant isn't an insult, it's just how she addresses people she doesn't know the name of.

All this hubris and general entitlement is kind of balanced out by the fact you can literally tip her over and she can't do much. Kinda reinforced by her design, since her lack of hands or legs makes it hard for her to do much. That being said she is nice at heart, just REALLY bad at expressing it. I wanted to give her the vibe of like, completely sheltered nobility that doesn't know how to navigate any sort of social situation. In any kind of situation where she gets empathy or kindness she doesn't know what to do. She hates being touched without permission or told what to do, and especially being picked up without warning. Though her reaction is usually anger and not fear as it probably should be- She's way too confident in herself as an authority and will do everything to avoid sounding weak or backing down, other than two situations which is being eaten or carved. At that point all her confidence breaks down, and she just ends up pleading for her life. Well for being eaten it's if the threat of digestion is raised, if it's safe she's just generally unhappy since what's more opposite to pristine royalty than a soggy tum-

Though that's only for people bigger than her, oddly enough tums small enough to be considered same-size she finds more cozy, though she'll still be pretty unhappy with it unless it's a willing situation. The other thing is she also fantasizes about being able to eat others, though she physically can't. I would be willing to let her if she had a stomach at all, via the same unnatural bending that lets her move in the first place, but it doesn't make sense that she would be made with one. Just having a random hole in the middle of her would seriously mess with her structural integrity, so the back of her mouf just kinda rounds off then and there. Also with being unable to eat she's also unable to sleep. I mean it doesn't make sense for a chess to sleep anyway- All that considered she doesn't have much to actually do, so she ends up either standing or wandering aimlessly. If she actually got someone to do her bidding like she wanted she would run out of commands to give pretty fast lol- And the last thing is, her full name is Princess Reverie Q. Rookshire the Third. I don't know what the Q stands for yet, but it's definitely gonna be something stupid like quesadilla-

SO YEA that's my whole ass novel on Reverie. I absolutely love using her in RPs, and so she's pretty much my most fleshed out character to date. Hell I think I missed a few things still- Her design is great, her personality is great, she interacts with other characters great, she's just super fuckin cute and good. Not to toot my own horn but I am absolutely tooting my own horn I love her lmao-

Also big apologies for not posting lately- I have a bunch of sprites stockpiled and everything, I literally just forgor to post. Too busy RPing as Reverie lmfao- But anyway make sure to check out the Discord, and as always thanks for being patient-
