Season 4 honestly wasn't as bad, in my opinion.

I actually agree. I personally think the show didn't rapidly decline until season 6 and then started pulling up in season 8.

Yeah! I'm surprised it actually got better. Usually, when a cartoon messes up that bad, then they're usually not able to get back up. Glad that Stephen Hillenburg is coming back.
Also, there's this one thing that every creator should know: 'If your cartoon or anything else is a success, then don't EVER change it or leave it.'
Well, I also know that he might have a busy life, but it's just not good to leave your own cartoon to people that are not familiar with the show.
And I'm pretty sure the original voice actors must be like: "What have we become?!"

I slightly disagree with you. I think seasons 1-4 of Spongebob were the best. It started to really get bad by it's 6th season
