i am in a state of
navies and blues. and i thought i would love you
as i love the ocean. i have painted pictures and written poems and
sang songs and thought thoughts of falling for someone in the way that
i love the sea for so long but here you are and you are no sea.

t'est pas la mer a moi. t'est tellement plus.

you are not the ocean. you are more the melting snow and
hope that springtime brings. you are the never ending sigh and
the greatest silence is you. and it is kind of like contour drawings. look at this orchid. draw the shadows but only use one line. and if you look in the right way the most beautiful weight is held in the shadow that this strangest flower makes. that is you. you are the weight of the orchid, the shadow of the subject. because of this everything has new weight and new meaning and my mind and heart are slowly changing to fit with you. i have never known a kiss so significant, a stranger's stare to be so insignificant or a holding of the hands to be so magical.

and maybe all of this means is that i have found someone to read poems to. someone worth fighting for and you are worth it all. and maybe that is all it mean. but maybe it means so much more.
