It has been awhile since I posted anything regarding my Tron digital comic.

I have decided to migrate to webtoons, where my Batman/Superman comic currently resides. I was all ready to roll except I was stuck on a few things I just recently got over...namely the look and some of the story hooks.

For the look I was bouncing around comic style, stylized, realistic....and I went full darn circle to where I started before I did my first page. I am going to go realistic with more narrative images rather than slow burns.

Aisa is wearing a procedural material I came up in Blender that uses a fresnel type of jam that will change color based on the angle of the light, something I didn't need when I was doing 2d style only. I also did a minor tweak on the face that will desaturate the skin tone based on angle. I figure this grid has matured alot since 82, merging a bit of the old Tron and Legacy. The col thing is once I get the materials down for one character the rest come far more easier.

Second major issue was the AI story re: Akhten. The basic story regarding the 'old' hierarchy vs a 'new' one developed by Artificial Intelligence has become far more relevant the last year or so. I kept it vague for story purposes but now I am going to embrace it fully, no point in hiding what is already here, right? (Refresher: Escalt, a DAEMON, resurrected Rook [the remnants of the MCP/Sark hybrid from 82] to locate what was left of Flynn's code after his implosion in Legacy to track down an ancient virus he once used to hack the original MCP to stop the AI program Akhten).

But...like all things Tron...the game has changed.

This was NOT created using any AI program bullshit.
The entire story was a cautionary tale about how much of a threat that shit is, that programs were willing to put the entire system at risk to stop it....to bring back something much worse....to regain control.
