Description One thing I promised myself was I'd post more and share than sit on things and appear completely lost in the void.

Eddie was one of the three hackers that broke into ENCOM in search of Kevin Flynn, the kid that was digitized by the newly resurrected MCP as a means to regain control on the main grid (this was after the events of Tron: Legacy). Aisa had been looking for Eddie for years and I had just reintroduced him but didn't get to expand on what happened to him. I figure now is as good a time as any.

How would the MCP convince a user, a human being, to assist it in rewriting the parameters of the system vast to transfer complete control to a glorified chess program?

When Eddie showed up it'd be fun and games for awhile, sure. It is like VR on acid and everyone is wearing glowing latex. And now Tek just dropped an image of a haggard Eddie that looks like a draugr from Skyrim. What happened?

The MCP...Rook...showed Eddie what was behind the curtain. What would happen if a human got to look at every dirty little secret that ever existed on the internet? Everything that was hidden, buried, lost and locked away? Eddie got to see every aspect of our hidden world that no human being on the planet is privy to...for what would feel to him like the equivalent of 400 years. Over four lifetimes of all the shameful things that has been saved away since the internet went live. Of course he broke, he would most definitely see the logic in allowing a ruthless entity with binary thinking to be given absolute control over our lives. With a user overriding anything thrown at the MCP it would have near limitless access to the grid. Ahkten, the AI presence on the grid, represented the absolute worst outcome of control...one that was incapable of thinking beyond the confines of its written perceptions....and now the system, Escalt and the MCP, had the perfect weapon to challenge it.

Aisa would find a part of Eddie though...his program still existed as abandonware....a polarized representation of who Eddie was against what Eddie had become.

No AI was used to create this.
