I applied buy I'm not sure I'll get into the album... It was "one character only pictures" and I didn't have the time to draw a new one, so I sent some of the old, which are not really good, and knowing there are so many cool hs fanartist out there, the chances are against me... Happens that AH/Doc and Jane don't need a show-off to say that they are the best there is. But I I wonder why this is still not up in the wikia :-<

I don't know how you're not sick of this picture by now *snorts* But I did promise back then that I would post it in dA once I managed to do a convincing lightning effect, didn't I? So here it goes again, like in that famous Ok Go song.
I love tumblr and I can't wait for the time I can reopen my account over there. But, I tell you this. You need to invest time in tumblr in return. Followers come and go if you don't stay active posting things every so often, so I found my little time over there quite stressing... it's still something unique, it's a better showcasing platform that dA, and the dashboard is super useful and as good as it gets. Aww, I miss my tumblr so much ;___; Maybe at the end of this summer if I do well on my exams...

Aww, thanks! >w< It's my favourite fight in the comic, althought is just an improved version of the original Rose vs. Mum fight. I tried my best with the lightning effect, using some blur box, and what so ever, but even thought I had some reference pictures from pixiv, it doesn't look half as good those... *sigh* Lightning is actually something practicall to know how to draw, but i still have to come across a good tutorial.

I still believe your lighting effect was powerful and it captured my eye on the very spot. Your best was certainly outstanding even if you don't think so. But if you still think it's not good,practice does make perfect and over time you'll get better. X3 I know it!

It was a delightful read, and I found the feedback on the impact of composition and lightning very useful! (I also adore the fact that you noticed how angry Aradia looks! When I finished her face and zoomed out to see the result, my own thoughts were: "well, for once she looks like the angry teenager she's supposed to be!"

As to the lack of comments and attention, well, I've got several theories which I think apply to most non-popular dA artitst like myself. First, I depend mostly on groups to showcast my work. Unless the other groupmembers are new-comers to the fandom or really have the patience to go through the 200s of deviations that get submitted to HS-fans everyday, only those who were looking at their inbox while I uploaded my drawing to the gallery would actually get to see it. The timing when you upload your work is vital. I try not to upload pics of friday evenings because empirically they get less views than pics uploaded on saturday or sunday. To this problem I have to add that most dA users, I believe, are from the US. If you're from the US, you have no problem in uploading your drawings during the "internet peak", that goes from 8pm to 1am, and therefore getting seen by most users. As an european, you're mostly sleeping around that time... And finally, there's the fact that Doc and Aradiacestor are not really that popular characters. Fanart of Dave and Vriska is usually the one that gets you a lots of favs without even asking for them, as they are probably the most popular kid and troll respectively.
I uploaded this picture a Saturday morning around 3 am in US, because I was myself tired of working in it, not really that much hope of showcasting it here in dA around that time...But this is of course a theory based loosely on observations, I guess everyone has their own opinion on the subject. And I guess that improving my painting skills would be the first stept to get more attention in general *snorts*

Thank you so much! I think that being able to refinish this drawing was a nice improvement! I'm usually rushing while painting, mostly because I have short attention spam and get easily bored... sometimes I just post drawings over here because I don't want to work on them anymore, therefore they must be finished.

Thank you! <33333333 The whole end of the 5th arc, with and without cascade, was packed full with awesomeness. I liked the whole Doc Scracht part, and still remember how awful it was to wait for the next update once Huss started using the "clippings". >____<
Oh, and the Handmaid is imo the Trollcestor who got the worse part. Growing up with Doc and then travelling back in time to bring destruction to your whole race... *sighs* being Aradia is suffering. (Until you get tiger, of course! 0u0)

Yesss, the end of the fifth arc is my favorite part of Homestuck, I actually loved the "clippings" style, despite the fact that it took longer to update!

And the Handmaid definitely DID have it the worst! At least the Sufferer had a "family" and then eventually followers, the Handmaid was doomed to live a cold-hearted life with Doc Scratch and then eventually become Lord English's servant. u_u

It was indeed an unsual story telling device, and I confess that one of the things that I love the most form Homestuck is how it really uses different and original forms to tell a story. This IS what a web comic should be. From the flashes, to programing the site to make cool things as splitting the story so that we could see one thing happening in the banner and other on the actual page, HS simply uses all the possibilities that the reader's computer has to offer to make the reading a more interactive experience. It's amazing stuff what AH is doing here, even if it's "only a web comic", as they'd say.

And once again, you're right, absolutely! All ancestors met a terrible end, and lived horrible lifes in general, but the Handmaid had it worst than anyone... getting killed by the Condesce is not a good end, either u__u
