I'm talking mostly about aesthetics, she just looks good in goth dresses.
Her personality is actually the opposite of edgy

Oh, this looks very promising. I can see a fair bit of myself in this little cutie-pie. I can't wait to share this series with my boyfriend once it gets off the ground!Β

Now I'm curious, in which part of her do you see yourself?

We share that dichotomy of being both shy around new people, but also empathetic toward and curious about them. I was very much the introverted bookworm at her age, harboring a secret fascination with the "darker" side of sexuality. I've always had a love of cooking and taking care of people, and I get the same vibe from Alice here. And while it's not a side-effect of menstruation, I definitely have THOSE DAYS where I don't want to deal with shit and just need to lay in bed and disappear for a while.Β
I'm also somewhat familiar with the "eyes up here" phenomenon. Now I just wish I had her slender frame.Β

Also it looks like she had an accident. Did her circulation get cut off?
I hear a lot of accidents that happen between two newbies because they donβt know how to properly tie correctly!

Well, depending on the tie, circulation goes off very often during suspensions. But that's not a big deal, because cutting off circulation gets risky only if done for like 2 or 3 hours straight. The real problem is when instead of just cutting off circulation you're pressing on the radial nerve. That could do some real damage in just a few minutes, that's why you should regularly check on the girl's ability to open and close her hand, if she has a problem doing that, you should consider changing position or untying her completely. The Radial nerve goes through the arm but it's also the one you use to move your fingers so if you damage it you won't be able to grab objects for weeks or even months. Not being able to drive, type, eat, etc, etc. Trust me, it fucking sucks and it's completely avoidable with just a bit of attention.
That said, what happened in this image is different. It isn't either circulation or nerve damage, it's just that she was kept suspended on one side more than usual and all her weight was pressing on that point. Also, every girl has different anatomy and her partner doesn't know yet the best way to position her arms.

Nah, he's just slow at tying.
Something people don't consider when talking ropes is that suspensions are much more painful than what they seem so even staying up for 20/30 minutes isn't exactly a walk in the park. An inexperienced rigger may take a lot of time with knots and suspension lines, while the girl is going through hell and when you're finished and ready to play she's already exhausted and wants to get down. That's why practice is important, the faster you are at tying her up the more time you get to spend giving attention to her instead of giving it to the ropes.
Obv I'm talking from a real-life experience point of view, if we're talking erotic fanfictions you can have people being suspended for days by their toes, but that's not what I'm aiming to show in my story, because I want it to be plausible in real life and deeply relatable.

Awesome how youβre portraying it in a more realistic sense!
Same with ball gags, anyone thatβs actually used one can tell you after a little while itβs starts to hurt since the jaw is being forced open! Yet kidnappers in art tend to use those gags the most and often theyβll leave their damsels to be found. But thankfully in fantasy land we donβt have to worry about that!

well, if it's meant to be really hard on her that's actually even better.
Doing risky things isn't forbidden as long as you actually want to do it.
The way a girl is bound can tell a whole story and the image in question shows exactly no regard for her well being, which fits with the narrative so it's perfect.
I like it a lot in case it wasn't clear.

ah ah, nothing particular.
She's just coming back from her first suspension class with her boyfriend.
I just thought of the pose and what she could say, nothing more for this image since it's meant to just present her

Books are a strangely aphotic escape though. But being isolated, growing up without the internet in the middle of nowhere; it sounds lonely.

She definitely was, that's why as soon as she moved to the city she started doing everything she wasn't allowed to do before. Going out at night, Drinking, dye her hair, have a boyfriend, etc, etc. But in the end, her passion for reading was a genuine one and she can't really stop being interested in books

Reading is a simple pure pleasure that can't be corrupted or undone once rooted. But reading feeds wonderlust and that is a special kind of hunger.
You can't grow in the environment that holds you back and she seems like the kind of person whose consumed by a need to experiance everything she can to learn more about herself without the influence of family or a lonely past addong dead weight.

Exactly, her curiosity is exploding, she wants to try everything but at the same time, it's hard for her to not feel guilty. You can't make 18 years fo bigotry disappear in just 2 years. This is her struggle for most of the story
