Description This is my first full-fledged digital piece. It has been featured on my old account, so a few of you may have seen it already. I gave her a little face lift a few days ago to sort out a few details that had me bothered. It turned out I couldn't help myself but give her a background as well.

_

I also created a stub of text concerning our aquatic friend, that I still find an appropriate travelling companion:

Recently, the growing appreciation for nerd culture in media has left many merparents with the predicament it is to have merchildren in the teens desiring to be elves, humans, sirenopomorphic animals or other fictional fairy tale beings. This photo shows a young merdaugther wishing to be an accountant, like her human avatar from the popular MerMORPG "EarthCraft Online".

For most merteens, this is something they will grow out of.

Nice job! I want to start working more with photoshop also. I can color with it and not even that well.

It's a blast once you learn a few tricks. Try asking better artists how they achieve this and this - if they're not too stuck-up, they'll love to answer..! It has worked for me 90 percent of the time^^

Thanks. I'll have to do that. My biggest complaint right now is that there seems to be limited color choices. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place. And how to blend colors.

It sounds like you are looking at the "swatches" window. That is just a list of quick colours.

Down underneath the tools, there are two small boxes that overlap each other. The frontmost one holds the colour you have chosen, and the hindmost holds your current background colour. Click the front box, and it will open the "Color Picker (Foreground color)". Here, a number of sliders will get you exactly the colour you want.

Really..? I'm of the impression that my photoshop skills can be summed up on a post-it note.

The only thing I know is how to draw^^

But thanks anyway..!
