Description
This was just a pencil sketch I did during a lecture in the history of architecture. It turned out so well, I added it to my old profile, and finally decided to smooth it up a bit and stick it here too.A little back-story has developed around this character, and we may see more of him later - I am playing with the idea of doing a comic.

"The Centennium Clock" is a collaboration between and myself. For the time being, I will be posting my progress with the game here on my profile, among my independent art. I expect that cmeidell will do the same, too - but he is quite new to deviantART, so he'll have to find out what works for him, of course^^
He's a brilliant sketch artist (currently learning photoshop to help more with the game art), so a watch wouldn't be wasted anyway...
Once we have sufficient material to do so, I predict that a group will emerge, providing all the news you can care to want - there are bound to be a few journals mentioning this once we get there, though.

I added him to my watch! I hope to see some awesome game art in the near future. I'm assuming this is a PC game? Another question, what engine is it being made in, are you developing your own? And with what language?

We are both baptised into the cult of Apple, but fear not - the game will be cross-platform. For the moment it is supposed to be a gigantic flash-game, probably for download instead of online play. I am doing all the programming for now, so it's all AS3 goodness. We are also outsourcing the issue of music to a highly competent contributor, so expect a vivid and symphonic soundtrack.
If we can get another programmer on board, the next step is an iPhone-port and possibly re-doing it in a real programming language^^

I don't think I could help with that with how much I have to do for my own games. I know some C, and I know Java and C++. As well as scripting languages like JavaScript and Python. And I know that their are plenty other people who are like me, that would be willing to help.

The games that I'm developing? Nah, no school project. Just me and some of my friends have great ideas for games so we make them... It's only me currently till my lazy friends get off of their {INSERT CLEVER WORD HERE} and learn to program for me.

With an aquarelle starters palette and a few penciled circles on a piece of paper to fill, you get the hang of it within an hour... Good luck!
