Haha, thank you! Although, this was drawn a few years prior to the one you're referring to. It's actually just G2 Megatron (the original tank Megatron) colored in G1 colors. I had hoped by now we'd get that toy reissued in these colors by now.

That would be nice. We haven't even really gotten it reissued at all, despite how revolutionary a figure it was - it established the entire trend, the mental image, of Megatron as a big tank - an alternate mode that, I think, captures who he is more than any other. Well, the Japanese did reuse it to create the Megastorm character in "Beast Wars II."

Now, THIS is how I wanted to picture Megatron, as a vehicle of war, like almost all of the other Decepticons, not some punt laser shotgun like he was! Thanks for putting this up here.

This form looks better in those colors. If this was how he looked in the G1 cartoon, his alternate mode would have been more practical.

Dude, this is awesome. The colors notwithstanding, it looks quite a bit like the Megs from the recent DVD 2-pack -- but you drew it two and a half years ago! Prophetic.
