  "Hey..."

  The door creaked open ever so slightly and Eiros peeked his head in. The lights were turned off but the room remained dimly lit due to a small table lamp on the study desk. Papers were littered everywhere, the chair at the desk was knocked over and there were several pieces of broken glass lying around. It looked like a mini tornado ripped through Arias's room.

  Arias Valenoire, the usually calm headed doctor, now sat in the middle of this mess, picking apart his wings one feather at a time. "Arias," Eiros let himself in. He needed to talk to him, though it didn't look like the doctor was in the right condition to have a conversation.

Arias turned his head. At that moment, Eiros caught the look in his eyes. Tired, defeated, heartbroken with a hint of fading anger. Eiros gulped and started his sentence slowly, "Arias, I know you're probably not in the mood right now, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry... f-for everything that happened. You... You did your best to save him, it's not your fault."

Arias did not speak. He kept his eyes locked on Eiros. Waiting. For what he expected to hear.

Eiros didn't catch what the doctor was waiting for and made the mistake. "I mean, he wasn't the healthiest person. You did your best to prove everyone wrong but maybe-"

"Leave."

Eiros blinked, shocked at the venom in the doctors voice. "L-look, I miss him as much as you do but I just thought-"

Arias stood up and walked towards him so suddenly, Eiros backed up quickly in response, tripping over his own feet and falling on his butt. The angel stood towering over him, his torn wings spread out to make his figure shadow Eiros. "Just when I had the flicker of hope you wouldn't be like everyone else. You think he's a monster too, don't ya? You think he's going to go bat shit crazy and eat everyone he comes across, hm? Don't try to comfort me with that attitude, child." With every word, anger built up in Arias's voice to the point he almost spat at the poor teenager below him. His body was shaking with rage, his breath heaving, and his throat tightening, signaling he was about to have another breakdown.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean it l-like that!" Eiros said quickly, scrambling back into the hallway with fear in his eyes. Then his eyes drifted down to something on the doctor's left hand he never noticed before. A golden ring.

"Don't make me repeat this again," Arias said, bringing Eiros' attention back up to his eyes. "Leave."
