Silverstone made his appearance in the Arena round Big Boys: Wreckers! He came in 3rd!

I was hesitant to enter another "Stone" character into the same category right after Grindstone won his, but Silverstone was entered as a homage to my friend Timm E. Dobbins, who sadly passed away (March 2019).

(I will also eventually be entering the Summit Alliance in homage to Wayne Yourison. 2 out of 3 of my wedding's groomsmen have now passed on, and even I had a heart attack just 2 years ago. Scary when I think about it.)

When I was a kid, my late friend Marshall Turner (who only passed away about 2 years ago), his cousin Phil Lomax, and myself came up with the "Power Kids" (later called Argents), a concept I ran with later. Years passed and I met Timm, who coincidentally knew Marshall, and I decided to make him a member, so I invented other members and a backstory...

Silverstone is one of the original Argents, a group of elementally powered characters that began their careers as pre-teens who were first upon the site of a U.F.O. crash. The creatures aboard, reached out, and transferred their silver shells and elemental control to them each respectively. They became Silverbolt, Silverflame, Silverwave, Silverbreeze, and Silverstone. Another boy, a neighborhood bully, gained magnetic powers, and was nick-named Chrome Magnon, who would go on to menace the world for decades.

Their powers all have silvery special effects, and physical contact with the earthly metal gold disrupts, and can cancel, their ability to be used. These powers will pass on to another upon death, though it is possible they could be willed upon another under horrific strain.
In his Silverstone form, he is capable of lifting up to 25 tons comfortably, he is resistant to small arms and artillery fire. He can control, move, and shape soil, sand and stone en masse. This material carries a silvery hue and shine when under his use.

While the Argents continued the good fight for a good while, they went their separate ways over the years.
Silverflame (myself) was the most comic-booky hero of the group, being rather imaginative with his powers, and had a small, but popular solo career. He was also the first to die. A paramedic found him, his power fading, and Silverblaze was born. His career was even more brief, and his female work partner would later try to help him, creating yet another new heroine in the process.
Silverbreeze later fell in with the wrong crowd, and was shot dead while wearing numerous gold chains. His powers transferred unknowingly to his girlfriend, who left gang life behind to become a crimefighter.
Silverstone (Timm) went on to do some heavy lifting in Hollywood, did construction for subways, and also some temp work for the Cybercaste agency. He recently succumbed to diabetic complications, having ignored his general health by remaining in his Silverstone form too long. His niece was by his bedside.
Silverbolt (Marshall) succumbed to heart disease, his family with him, his son laying on hands and praying for him.
Silverwave (Phil) willed his powers to his son, nearly killing himself in the process. He has recovered and is now a sports coach.
The new Argents now consist of Silverflare, Silvergale, Silverscape, Silvershock, and Silvertide.
Perhaps ironically, Chrome Magnon is still around, though mellowed with age. Still powerful, and possibly reformed, he has offered to mentor this new team.
