...Y'know what? Y'KNOW WHAT? I'll tell you what!
I've wanted to see this movie since I first saw the poster in the theater. (I'm the ultimate sucker for cute things, I swear. X3) And I was all prepared to go into this movie all: 8D BluxJewel! They are going to be so sweet together, I know it! OTP for sure!
And for the first little bit, I was totally like that. Blu was just so adorably akward around her.
THEN THESE TWO SHOWED UP. O.M.G, THESE TWO
....And I was all: Dangit >___<

Okay, rant over. I never know why I'm almost always drawn to the married ones (Or are practically married anyway). I swear, you and me will go to a movie, and you'll fall in love with the primary duo, and I'll fall in love with the secondary "background" couple. I really couldn't help it this time. Rafael and Eva were so CUTE I couldn't stand it.
They were my favourite characters (Along with their attack brigade of children...). They're one of those couples where the wife obviously wears the pants in the household, but the husband loves her so much he doesn't even care. And she totally loves him too. You knew the reason she didn't want him sneaking off to Carnavale was because a) She would be stuck at home watching the kids while he got to have fun, b) She'd be worried about him, and c)She was afraid he'd meet another younger, prettier girl there. 
So, like every couple I love, I had to draw them, ASAP (With a minimal effort background to boot!
). I guess Evi and Rafi are younger here, before the eighteen kids. That's why Eva has dyed feathers...and they're both thinner. If someone writes a fluffy little oneshot with these two, I'll love you forever and ever. X3

Lemme take you to Rio, Rio..
Rio was such a freakin' adorkable movie!! I loved it a whole lot...even more than I thought I would. I'll admit, the script/plot was a little clunky at certain points, but I loved the characters, animation, fluff and music to care all that much. ^___^ This movie just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and inspirational inside.
Curse me not being able to draw birds. This took me way too long with the anatomy and whatnot. But I guess it's also a bonus, so now I'mma LEARN how to draw birds. XD And there may be a safe bet that I'll do more Rio art as I learn to draw those birds. :3

That was a good movie. The again everyone seems to pay attention to Blu and Jewel as the main couple, but I decided to change that. I wrote a story on how Rafael and Eva fell in love.

A couple of points that I'd like to point out:
1. In this relationship, Rafael is what TV Tropes calls a henpecked husband, where the husband is always dominated by the wife. In a certain number of examples, you feel like you just wanna slap the wife across the face. This is not one of those examples, as Eva is an all-around decent wife who doesn't throw any verbal or physical abuses on him or make him feel bad. At least I don't think she does.
2. I feel that the source of her bossiness and b*tchiness is her chicks and not her husband, although she does love them all.
3. Whenever I think of Eva, I think of Rita Repulsa from MMPR, as Eva's singing reminds me of Rita. Therefore, I like to think of Rafael as Lord Zedd and Finster, and I like to think of Eva as Rita Repulsa. Notice a pattern?
And that's all I've got right now.

Eva is certainly a pretty birdie. A little grouchy, and maybe a little bossy and that voice of hers won't be winning any prizes, but Rafael loved her and that's what mattered.

Hehe...I seem to be the only one who didn't enjoy this movie as much as the others since I found it too predictable and cliched with shallow romance between Blu and Jewel. But I LOVED the music and animation. They were beautiful.

I actually drew this out on paper first (Just Rafael and Eva..and lots of bird references. XD), then I scanned it into my computer, adjusted it, and drew the background digitally with my tablet. The colouring was also done digitally.
