This is the same man as in this photo: [link]Apparently, he sits in the same spot all the time, because I saw him again today, and I couldn't resist asking him for his portrait. He smiled, showing his only front tooth, proudly.

How do you achive such fantastic b&w's?
Do you create them during the RAW conversion?
If you dont mind me asking of course...

yes, i shoot in raw and then adjust levels and curves until i achieve something like this!

I thought RAW would come into it, i have CS3 but I just need to become comfortable with conversions...do you know of any tutorials or is it just a case of trial and error?
