Yesterday I was reading some Science of Discworld (I & II), and randomly decided to do something scary - a perspective layout drawing. Not much perspective in it really, because my grasp of that is about as firm as my grasp of reality, but this, to be specific, is meant to be Rincewind's study once he becomes Egregious Professor of Cruel and Unusual Geography. There wasn't that much of a description in the books, but it was stated as being tiny, with a collection of ready-to-be-catalogued rocks, and as having a fireplace, a heap of coals in the corner and Roundworld on the mantlepiece. The Luggage is also asleep on one of the shelves. In this part of the book, Rincewind is also meant to be answering the door wearing only his underpants, but (tempting though it was) I decided to content myself with doing the background for now. It was a quick colouring job, and I went with a nightime colour scheme because it seemed more...cosy? I dunno.Related content

Honestly, this inspired my idea of how to re-do my bed room, it's just in the planning stages but it's a good set up for it - Thanks for the inspiration!

How can that be quick! It's all intricate and well colored and whatnot! You're just good is all. It may just be my monitor, but some things seem slightly too dark? I like the dark atmospheric feel, and lord knows I've used too much darkness to hide when my details aren't very *cough* good *cough* but I don't think that's the case here. You MAY want to lighten it by 5% so you can see a bit more pencil lines, but you may also not because you think it's just fine and who cares what I say?

love it. It's got such a musty feel, like the room probably needs a good airing. Not sure why that comes to mind. It took a minute to see the Luggage, that's positively dangerous for the health, not seeing the Luggage until he jumps on you.

The color scheme is quite beautiful. Heck, I wouldn't mind having a room as cozy as that. 
(But you know you can't mention Rincewind and underwear in the same sentence and then refuse to draw it!)
