For some reason, the first impression this gave to me was that it reminded me of a Japanese warlord of ancient days, wearing a horned helmet. Or maybe a great demon with that single red eye. It certainly has a personality!

Thanks. The red-orange horse hair finish works well with an Oriental motif. I do make helmets out of clay, and am planning to make Samuri helmet at some point...

I know it sounds weird but the lid reminds me of a Shinto shrine.
I love the 'horsehair-effect' on it!
