Great job! Feels like the top of a Thai temple this time. I also like the transition from muted yellows to vibrant cool colors on the top.

Thanks again. I think the temples at Angkor Wat were subliminal inspirations...

i like the addition of the porcupine quill, its a very nice accent. the textures around the rim are really fascinating to me, i noticed them on your pair of green vases too. I wish I could see it closer, is it sgraffito work?

Thanks! It's not sgraffito--While the clay's still wet, I engrave the squiggles with a pencil. [link] shows a little more detail.

cool, in my world I've always counted that as sgraffito even though technically its not... I like your mark making, its very interesting.

Thanks! I was always told that sgraffito was carving through one surface to reveal another...maybe I'll try that next!

my google search confirmed that, but alas my university program wasn't very big on teaching beyond very basic traditional techniques. Most traditional technique that I've learned was self taught and researched either online or at the library :/

I'm self-taught as well--never took an art class in College.

wow, lots of throwing skill for no art classes, I have to admit that my basic skills were taught to me at university.

Love the red and blue metallic highlights at the top, and it definitely reminds me of an Indian stupa.
