(Trying to do something a little bit more graphicsy than my usual ... I use this colouring style for most of my chibis, and felt it'd work better than a painty look. I finished this back in about October, but never put it online. I likes her.

The texture in the background looks great.
The small highlights in the locks keep them from seeming flat and, thus, gives them a much needed volume.
The eyes are simply fantastic.
The knobby-ness of the fingers seems odd for the character though. Can't figure out why. Maybe it's the overall smoothness of the figure.

Oh shit. Sorry. I accidently requested print and now I feel guilty because I can't afford to buy prints but I accidently said GIVE ME PRINT.
To make up for it, I will try and make my comment useful rather than just 'i like this'.
I definitly agree on your colouring style choice - I do love your painterly stuff, but you're right, I think it would've overloaded this image. It certainly wouldn't have added anything it doesn't already have.
Er, let's see, I'm loving those detailed hands, but I'm a little uneasy on the wrists, they look a bit too thin to support the hands, but maybe it's a stylistic thing you're going for?
Really like the eye shapes and the way the hair is coloured - and I really like that the eye make-up is the only part there that can really be called soft - it's such a departure from how crisp and sharp the rest of the image is.
