It's a big ship. This is nowhere near all the shippings in Fairy Tail, either. I know I left off ElfEver, LaxMi, and Sticy, but if I put every shipping, it'd be chaos. People pair up just about everyone. This is just a few of the more popular ones...and not so popular. I ship almost everyone. Except Master Bob. He's creepy.Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima, all images belong to the anime.

For FT shipping, I ship Natsu with Lisanna and Gray.
Interestingly, when it comes to Natsu and Gray, I always use fusion name NatsuGray/Natray since I always view Natsu as seme and Gray as uke. Frankly, both of them are sekes which they can switch position to seme-uke each other depending on situations. However, since most GrayNatsu/Gratsu-related fanworks depict Natsu as a wimpy, adorable uke (which is very OOC in my eyes), I mostly stick on NatsuGray.
I sometimes pair Natsu with Lucy, but only for platonic relationship (sometimes NatsuLu/NaLu fans are annoying as hell when it comes to Natsu and Lucy).

I use to be Nalu but when you think about it he seees her more as a sister type of person. She still finds him to be a idiot at time with the childish behavior. Also it would be to obvious if he ends up with Lucy. When you think about it Nali makes sence because lisanna has always loved him but since people are playing favorites here lisanna has to be known as hate with fanfictions just to bring a crappy Nalu story. MY point is sometimes the fanfictions make you hate the couple.

i'm torn between LoLu and GraLu as my OTP for Fairy Tail (no offense, but..NaLu is just..what you expect because they're the "main" characters). besides, going with LoLu opens up for the Yaoi OTP of Gray/Natsu ^_^

yeah, i've gotten into LaLu lately, because...well its not so much off the wall, and it's made a few small hints, but...its a lot better than the Miraxus shipping, as I ship Freed with Mira.

i think that those that like NaLu do it because it's overly justified, therefore, it's an easy pairing to go with.
It's like FF7 fans and the various pairings. I'm a Valenwind Shipper (Cid/Vincent) and many people will go "BUT He's officially married to SHERA!!!!". yes, cannon wise he is...but...did they really marry because they LOVE each other, or because they THINK they love each other because she put up with all of his bullSh$t over the years?
I get very philosophical when it comes to pairings.
NaLu makes sense, he's always saving her ass. he's always going on about how she's his partner, etc. There are plenty of other Viable pairings for Lucy. Laxus (chapter 51 of the manga, he first showed interest in her), Loke (...take a look at any of his actions when he's summoned, or the humored addition of the 'Wedding gown' part of the Jenny Vs Mira fight), Freed (They are both intellectual, but I ship him with Mira, they have a very obvious connection), Bickslow (i've seen QUITE a few very WELL written fanfictions with these two), Gray (who really is the "Cannon-Fans" backup), Gajeel (...it's an interesting pairing, but I am a Levy/Gajeel shipper). and those are just the "Main" male characters. there are a plethora of others, including Rogue, Sting and...I've found 1 case of Orga/Lucy...and it was more of a moment where It was "i'm a jerk, i'm fighting Laxus, let's see if I can shake him" type thing.

I hate it though how natsu is always saving her rettarted ass. To me when aquarius's key was broke. I thought lucy will be stronger but she onlyproves herself to be more defenseless by only sheilding herself.
You know natsu dosent really deserve someone who wont take a stand and acually fight on her own.

in all actuality, she wasn't the one making the shield.
it was pointed out that it was Aquarius' actual power doing that, not lucy herself. looking over what you can glean from various hints about stellar mages, they're not normally even as close to the battles as Lucy (who uses a whip and is actually fairly good at dodging). I honestly do not think Lucy, as a character, is weak. she did defeat Bickslow (with Loke's help, but that was WELL within her Character Parameters and what her 'magic' was at the time).
Being able to withstand both the Torture that Flare and Minerva gave her during the GMG shows she actually is strong. She has shown she can kick people across rooms and knock them out (Natsu, Gray) and is just as scary as Erza when the situation calls for it. she simply is put in a lot of situations where she's not as powerful as the "villain" because of her team being as strong as it is on the whole. she has progressively become stronger through the series so far and I don't think it is fair to call what appears to be a very intelligent character 'retarded'. I understand that is your opinion, but I apparently see many of her actions in a different light than you do.
In a way, you are demeaning the sacrifice that Lucy went through in order to summon the Celestial Spirit King, who was able to negate the Alegera that Mard Geer used to absorb every wizard that was there in an attempt to make it so that no one could actually stop them from activating F.A.C.E. While physically speaking, Lucy is not the strongest, she has other strengths that make her a good character. Aquarius literally...gave her an out, a way to save everyone and she did it, even with regret, because she cared, so very much, for the Spirit and vice versa. it was a 1 in 1 Million chance of anyone not being captured by the Alegera spell, and lucy, the only one that would have had ANY way, even as vague as summoning the Spirit king, was the one to manage to not give into despair (per the captioning at the end of that chapter in the manga) and stayed free.

Well I guess In your terms shes decent. But recently in the manga she got saved AGAIN by natsu. I really want to see more growth out of her times where she csn prove to natsu that she dosent need to be saved

she totally exhausted herself by summoning 3 Zodiac Spirits and then pouring enough Magic into the Key Substitution to summon the Spirit King. She went against...3 DEMONS on her own...and RELEASED all of FT from the Spell by a summon, which took a lot of magic. I'd say she's more than 'decent' as a character.
She is not a physical Fighter at the moment. she is starting to get there, but because of her magic, she is a character that is best for Mid to Long Range attacks. Even the Celestial Spells they show her using are mid to long range.
and NATSU didn't save her. Juvia defeating Keith is what 'saved' her this time. Which Gave Gray the Ice Demon Slayer Bloodline Magic, though she wasn't aware of it. You aren't even giving the Credit where Credit is due in this situation.

Well, while I'm sure your sister has her opinions, i think, before you take just her word on this, reading the manga to form your own opinions might be a good idea. there is a lot of information that people can and will overlook when telling people about an anime/manga series because of what they like. It's a common issue that i've seen. it is why I leave myself very open to many different points of view and pairings in games, anime and mangas. by limiting ourselves and not looking at the whole picture, we can miss information and nuances about characters due to a prejudice.
as i said before I do not personally ship Natsu/Lucy because it is 'expected' and 'heavily hinted at', which, to me, makes it distasteful. like say..Hinata/Naruto or Shera/Cid, or Cloud/Tifa, etc etc.

Yep, Alzack and Bisca are canon for sure. The rest are pretty clueless or one-sided. Jellal and Erza at least have mutual love for one another, and they both know the other feels that way too. They're just too stubborn.
