βTime is like a handful of sand- the tighter you grasp it, the faster it runs through your fingersβAn hour glass is often thought to represent time, in that the sand in the bottom portion is the past, the grains passing through the opening are the present, and the top chamber is the future.
This picture was inspired by all of my peers, and myself. In highschool, so many things are pressuring you. What classes to take, what University/College to go to, etc. When all we really want to do is have fun. All of us have probably wished we could stop time at some point. Continue living with our parents and having them take care of you for the rest of our lives. To keep having fun with our friends, and to stay young and carefree forever. But no matter how hard we try to stop time, the sand will just pile up and keep spilling over us.
The girl in the hour glass was originally supposed to be me, but she ended up looking quite different. Anyway, I'm really happy with this piece, though I might come back and critique it more in the future.

No, more like she's trying to stop the present from passing, because she's scared of what the future will bring. The past doesn't really have much to do with it.

Nice concept. I enjoyed seeing the WIP (the perspectives were messing with my head).
I think she's going to be okay. Whoever put that sand in there didn't put in enough to fill either half.

i love what u have donw here. as i was reading ur info below the picture i realized that ur talk had me loose track of time fo ri thought this picture was of the past and was not gunna comment then i looked and realized it was the present. the fact that i lost track of time in time i gotta say this pictures a success
