What's with the large wide brimmed hat? It looks very similar to Chosun era hats worn by Korean men.

not the same, this is a stove-pipe hat worn by welsh ladies in the 19th century

It's funny to think that Koreans of the same time would have been shocked, even scandalized, to see a Welsh women wearing a hat in the shape and size of what they considered to be a potent symbol of a man's status and rank in society.
I wikied the Welsh stove pipe but things seem unclear on why that style became ubiquitous for ladies at the time.
As an American, I still can't help but see both kinds of hat as a little 'witchy' looking.

i find pan watercolours hard to use i prefer using neocolour II but bit expensive
