Description
I am a very shy, reserved person by nature and have always struggled to make any meaningful connections with people. With Jade it was completely different. It was a real pleasure to talk to her and it meant a great deal to me that she would spend the effort to talk to me. I started this portrait as a thank you. Very soon she moved departments and the conversations are now over. I miss talking to her a great deal but at least,with this drawing, I made her smile one last time.Related content

That doesnt look easy to do, kudos. I struggle sometimes with simple facial expressions, and this one is much harder than I've ever done

Wonderful piece with a sweet message behind it. If I had to give one tip, though, I would tell you to maybe try and work some deeper shadows into your work in order to really make it 'pop', so to speak.

Thank you. Although she was very appreciative of the portrait, I think the affection is very much from my side only. Although very sweet natured, she's still very young and probably wouldn't understand the psychology of someone with my social anxiety. I hope you are right though and this drawing does elicit some poitive thoughts about me.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately our shifts don't overlap very much. The connection, sadly for me, is rather onesided. She was just being herself and has no real idea the impact she had on me.
