Description This watercolor was completed in June of 1992, and was lovingly painted after a B/W photo by Juan Rulfo. It would be mistake to not
give much credit to Rulfo for his skills as a photographer. However, he achieved immortality by writing two immensely important works for the
Mexican people: Pedro PΓ‘ramo and El Llano en Llamas, that last a collection of short stories. The word Tianguis essentially
refers to the tents set up at a fair-type event, where the people sold their wares and talents, oftentimes in the immediate area surrounding a church,
as is depicted here. It's a very early w/c, but was sold through a gallery ~ within days ~ to an Australian couple. WOW, how times have changed!

I've been meaning to Google the IMAGES of Juan Rulfo...and find that B/W print.
He was a superb photographer....so much of the credit is his....I just added some color...
and of course, it SOLD!! in less than a month.Β  Like that's ever going to happen these days!!!

THANKS, " Interesting" I consider even better than "Wonderful."
