Johnny almost died in a helicopter crash, only to awaken among the wreckage nowhere near Raiden's sky temple. He quickly learned he wasn't in Earthrealm anymore when a trio of Beowolves attacked him. The first two were killed with his shadow fire, while the last one got a lucky hit in, though he punched a hole through its head. He fell unconscious but awoke in the back of a truck. It’s how he met the Scarlatina family.
After hearing that he was blown off course and unable to contact his family, Will, Velvet's father, agreed to give him a lift to the village of Kuroyuri. While he's there, he meets an orphan girl named Nora and immediately decides to watch out for her after seeing her grab some food from a trash can.
Unfortunately for the tiny village, Johnny had become a target for several groups, meaning they would become collateral in the battle of good against evil.

Here's what Johnny's been up to, and it looks like he'll be accelerating the destruction of Ren's hometown. Though it won't be by much.

Also, Kano is being sent in after Johnny beat the crap out of him, hence why he's a bit more machine then normal. He needed a few upgrades.
