Thanks for the new up-load. It is not very large and I have some special "William Turner" textured printing paper I shall try on this one

Oh I don't mind, I'm very flattered, by all means do so. Is the resolution high enough for a good size print? I can rescan it and re-upload it at a higher dpi, if you want.

Well, you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs -
sometimes you can't make art without spilling tea!

KatDiestel [2010-08-17 18:56:17 +0000 UTC]

this is swell.

a small thing that disturbs me in it are the glued on parts in the center ... but still really great! chapeau.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to KatDiestel [2010-08-19 20:43:47 +0000 UTC]

thanks very much, kat - including mentioning the center. when i scanned it before adding those, it seemed to need something for a visual pop at just that point, and a bit of glued-on text was the subtlest thing i could find. it might have worked without it - i decided to go ahead. chapeau much appreciated

*sigh*

but find me.

and time, and myself, keep sliping away no matter how hard i try.

but there is hope, in the corner. gotta keep that in mind.

i'll sleep on this.

thanks for sharing, as always.

this is so interesting. such a great look to it and i like how there some words which are almost in between states, like they're ghosts or something, whispers

RichardLeach In reply to artairk [2010-08-12 16:01:57 +0000 UTC]

thanks very much, that's an effect i like a lot too. these pieces are a bit unpredictable, this one worked out pretty well.

Impurfect-Purfection [2010-08-12 03:37:30 +0000 UTC]

I love how faded the type is. Was it deliberate?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to Impurfect-Purfection [2010-08-12 16:00:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it starts out as "normal" type, I get this effect by applying cellophane tape and peeling it off the page. If there's a word I want to keep I try to work around it. Other than that I don't try to remove ink completely evenly, I like some randomness.

Damn.
I felt like I was losing all the balls I was juggling looking at this.
Someone stuck a needle in my leg while everything was balanced and in swing,
and then suddenly, pupils dilated,
things went numb,
my legs stopped listening to me,
hands did whatever they could to stay in motion whether it helped or not..
and then the mind went blank.
Body hung erect, just staring off.

It was like that.

Holy Whoo!

I appreciate you dropping by to say that!
I always hope I'm ADDING to
the productive situation when I start speaking my mind.

Normally I regret what I say because I sound crazy
and just can't seem to get my words together.

I appreciate your comment, so much.
