Description
The ghost of Metrus, a myth to some, a very real threat to others. Metrus is a corporate dystopia, where the Empire, several centuries ago, got expelled due to a conglomerate-induced armed revolt. Ever since the sector has been ceded as a free territory. Ultimately the only ones who profited from the Empire's eviction were the organized criminal elements and the larger corporate entities. But faith cannot be expelled nor bribed, and the Divine-Imperial faith is prevalent even on Metrus.

Additionally, because it is a free territory, Imperial noble houses such as the famed Harlowe and the infamous Luvec still hold significant territories here. With Harlowe and Luvec laying claim to entire planetary sectors. As such Metrus is always in an underhanded war, as Imperial houses, Corporations, gangs, PMCs all fight whilst keeping their hands visible to the public.

The influence of these houses means that every so often, a rather prevalent operative is contracted. Free assassins, sleeper agents... and even a single Star-Knight, the ghost of Metrus. A vigilante operative who piously adheres to the Divine-Imperial tennets as well as his own moral standing. Sometimes he works as a vigilante, other times as a hired assassin.

Metrus is a boring setting, I know XD a typical sci-fi cyberpunk dystopian ecumenopolis. But Metrus has a lot to offer in terms of backstory. I love it, it's like my child at times. No matter how much of a shadowrun-esque setting it may be, with all the cruelties of cyberpunk dystopias present, whenver someone asks me if I'd want to live on Metrus... I'd seriously consider it XP

The Ghost of Metrus wields a compact-rifle (on his back), a siege-knife (on his side) and a heavy sniper-rifle. At some point I do intend to ship him off when he's gotten some more character development ^^
