I love your take on her .
For starters, I think you did a great job with the palette I showed you, while at the same time agreeing with your choice to forego some of them in favour of other colours. As much as I like orange, I do feel the brown leather jacket looks much better. I really like how the green pops in contrast to everything else; it works well with the darker skin tone and leather jacket. I also really like how vibrant the eyes are. I get a real supernatural glow from them, which I really like.
Speaking of her skin tone, I think you nailed the shade. I'll admit a few others have made it darker and lighter than I want/made her come across as more of a tanned caucasian (or just caucasian) whereas I see her as more someone with a darker colour. The same goes for the hair as well. The more golden, sandy blonde looks better than some of the more yellow tones others have used.
Thank you once again for drawing this .

I'm glad you like it
The palette on the outfit I was pretty sure it would work, and the jacket I felt a more traditional colour for leather would be best. I feel overall it makes her look really cool and interesting.
The skin and hair I was more worried, it's more a matter of preferences or the design you have in mind. For the skin I wasn't sure if she was more darker skinned or tanned, but I felt the time in the sun would pretty much bake her into darker skin.
You are welcome as always.

Yes, I agree. As much as I love orange as a colour, I do feel it's difficult to add to a palette and have it work. Like you said, a more traditional coloured for the leather works much better and looks more interesting.
I do see her as more darker skinned than tanned. Originally, I wanted her skin tone to be identical to the character I showed you/"dark/South Asian", but RedRidah gave her a slightly lighter skin tone and I feel his decision to do that worked much better, as it helped give Lydia a more unique appearance (especially when I envision her bust size being similar to the characters, and for the two to have a similar personality). That said, I do feel her skin tone should darken slightly while being under the sun, but perhaps not as much as say a Caucasian character.
The hair colour is perfect. It's actually based off Norika's, as I'm moving away from the sandy blonde towards a more traditional shade for her. I do like the colour and thus decided to give it to Lydia instead.

Orange is workable, but on leather it's a bit more uncommon. I mean, there is leather in shades of orange but I don't know if it would have worked here.
Ok, I will keep it in mind if I get to draw her again. Although the colours may change under different lights. In fact in this drawing, if I changed the background to another colour her skin would probably look very different.
Blonde hair always gives me trouble. There are many shades, so it's difficult to get it right on first try. I always have to make adjustments. I have to practice more of them.

You will have to ask the creator to know more about her.
She is actually holding a rapier and main-gauche, but she is fearsome with them, no doubt.
