Description So I finally have a name for my Viking warrior, I will call her Lekny or LeknΓ½ (as I gather is the correct spelling). Here she is wearing something for a more temperate climate, or for summer where she is from, I guess. Still, she is wearing most of the equipment she would use to go to a fight.

Let me know what you think.

Excellent looking work - definitely a good D&D Portrait, and quite Viking with the shield and hairstyle. Summer attire works perfectly too.
Only criticisms would be if you were going for a historical style Viking, the greatsword would be out of place - and she looks so pretty! That's a face that's never had a broken nose from sparring Β

Thank you for the comment
I justify it with the fact that since she lives in a fantasy setting she gets in contact with other cultures and that is why she gets that sword. And for the pretty face I go with the classic "it's magic" No seriously, it's just a few artistic liberties I take

Artistic liberties are fine, I was just being pedantic. It's a bloody good bit of art

I understand, I do my research to make things more believable so I can be pedantic myself. But yes, I also know when I'm taking liberties, sometimes to match certain expectations (people keep drawing Vikings with horned helmets, even tough they probably never used them like that) or to match modern sensibilities (in this drawing for example her muscles are very visible, back then she would probably have more body-fat).
