Thank you very much, I was very pleased with this at first, but now I don't like it. I painted another one after this that I liked more, much more.Β  This piece was then featured in someone's journal and I found myself wishing that it hadn't even though I was really appreciative of the woman who had included it in there.Β  I have only just started using acrylics so I guess it's just a case of keep learning.Β  Thanks again, have a nice day -rich

Let me guess, this painting was named after your love, but it is a great picture and setting.

I give it 2 thumbs up and 4 stars!Β

Thank you very much, I'm just about to upload another.Β  I just want to paint now, I think the 120 hour pencil drawings are behind me... too labourious for me and that's not what art's about... I think?

That's alright, I think the long hour drawings are amazing, I hope to do one one day.i think it shows mastery of that particular area of art, I suppose the same as an extremely good oil painting would. I unfortunately cannot paint, wish I could but I can't, so I quite admire those that can.i think you are very gifted if you can paint as well as draw I'm looking forward to seeing your new work, and it's also so nice to have that feeling of satisfaction when you're doing something you're enjoying. Best of luck xx

Thank you and thanks for the WATCH as well.Β  I did enjoy some of those huge pencil works, but I grew tired of the gears of war one I did, I started to wake up in a morning dreading the site of it!Β  I had to force myself to finish it.Β  It was at that point when I thought 'I'm tired of this' I'm going to paint instead.Β  I enjoy the painting very much because it feels quick and somehow more enjoyable.Β  You know what? I felt the same way about painting.Β  I tried a few times and thought 'what a load of crap' I became frustrated, even angry with it, I wanted to smash my paints into the wall.Β  I persevered and I'm starting to handle this medium a bit better now.Β  I realised that it was because I was out of my comfort zone, I had lots of control with pencils and I didn't have that with paints, but I got better.Β  You should try it too, acrylics are wonderful things you can just keep painting over them and can apply them very thin like water colours to get some great effects.Β Β  Thank you for a lovely comment, take care -rich x

Thanks for the reply, and yes, that's exactly the way I feel about paint, especially water colour. Some people do one or two flicks of the brush and it's a masterpiece. I do it...and it's not I do use acrylics to block out colours when I do a canvas, but that's mixed media. Good on you for getting to grips with it. Maybe one day I will too. And in answer to your drawing thing, I agree, finding something you don't mind looking at and working on for hours is quite a mission. Take care, Bev x

Thanks Bad!! I keep trying and I'm feeling pretty good about painting.Β  It might disapoint you to know that landscape painting (with a rich walker fantasy kind of edge) is really the only thing I'm interested in at the moment. The days of spending 120 hours on a piece of game art are behind me.Β  I'll still do some of that stuff from time to time, but the feeling for it has gone.Β  Thank you.. as always -rich x

I am perfectly fine with a rich walker fantasy.....kind of edge
Β Just keep doing whut you love! That's why the paintings themselves are so good, because you are so enthralled in what you're doing, and can summon a picture of it anytime you want, because it's your own personal desire! Keep it up!
