despite all the destruction and damage claims they cause.
I really sympathize with them,because saving the galaxy is not an easy job and Yuri and Kei often run into the wrong people,
who later blame them for everything...

Haha, thanks. I think I could've done better by Yuri & Kei though, given time. Kinda like how I took some time to get into a good groove with Scarab between MON & Agents.

I honestly don't know; maybe it went the way of Agents: Tigerlilly. David & I talked a lot about it but it just never happened. Shame though, I would've enjoyed seeing if I could've taken TL to the hoop like Scarab.

I'm still holding out for that TL book....hoping if David ever does it you'll be getting the call! I remember he posted fairly recently about 'good ideas' on it storywise. I can't imagine either her or scarab without your art since you developed them so well in the scarab volume.
I'd have liked to see where you took Tl years later and woven in her being a comic artist and all.
Mack said scarab 'in between mission' stories were possible in the future....i gotta hold him to that lol

Thanks, man! I'm doing a Noh Agents commish right now and it's made me a little nostalgic for the Noh charas. I guess it's been a long time since I actually drew all 8 of them. I forgot how much fun it is to do my own stylistic spin on them. Hopefully, I'll get a scan of it before I send it off so I can get it up here.

Sounds killer - one of my favorite pages from the scarab book was the one where you had all 8 of then on a noh tv shot manga style. I always liked how you did ice too - wish she got a little more love!!

Nah wouldn't be douchey - its pretty much the truth, you defined a lot of how we remember the Noh. Cool to hear you're getting some more batting practice at them again.
I think you did a great job in visually giving each Noh her own style/character. David thought them up and put them on paper, but you really kind of brought the attitude on them, which was cool for ones like ice and Butoh who are pretty much not used in the series.
So other than the obvious with scarab, who's the second favorite agent to draw?
Amazed we haven't see Noh chibi's yet lol.

I got attached to TL, right alongside Scarab while doing MON, so she's easily my 2nd. Originally, Snapdragon was my 1st pick for MON, but she was already taken, so I landed on Scarab (which turned out to be a lucky break).
Snapdragon has the most overt & easily tapped sex appeal. While Butoh's never been a particular fave of mine, there's a lot of room to work with her stylistically. From that standpoint, she's a friggin' goldmine.
I've never had Dave Johnson's natural gift for mech, so Ice with her mechanical arms has always been more of a challenge for me. And I never seem to know what to do with Siamese when dealing with them, so they tend to end up as compositional tools for me. That doesn't do them justice, I think. Someone else could do better by them.

Would never have known you were 'mech-challenged' - your Ice was one of the great representations. Never could work out if those were prosthetics or just crazy gloves...
I wish Butoh would get a redesign, I think the haircut always kept her at the bottom of my agent cool list.

You know what, I'd always just assumed Ice was wearing whacky gauntlets & leggins but I've never actually confirmed this with David. Or even asked if he's ever really thought about it.
And yeah, I'm all flesh & fashion off the top of my dome but with mech & architecture, I'm imaginatively impaired (I especially wish that weren't the case with the latter, as I love urban settings).
It's funny that you mentioned Butoh's weave, though. That's one of the specific things that I intentionally played around with (radically altered) on this commish I'm finishing. The videogamer in me insisted on something more flashy, haha.

that commission sounds like it'll be awesome - especially if you hooked Butoh up with a new 'do. I could see her rocking an emo swipe maybe.
I've asked Mack like 5 times what was going on with Ice's arms - he either coyly didn't want to answer each time, or just forgot I asked lol. She actually started out as my favorite before I got around to reading scarab. Funny how a little back story completely changes everything!
If you ever find out let us in on it! Else I'll just assume its an insider secret being saved for a bigger story!

Hmm. Well, IDK what the story is with Ice, but you were right on the money with Butoh. I gave her a tsunami phaux hawk. I was thinking of a combo of Paine from Final Fantasy X 2 & Maxi from Soul Calibur. Can't believe how close you were, lol!
