I like drawing dem ponies. Yellow is hard to make stand out without background, but I think I did good enough job at it.

I see. But when you erase the pencil lines, some of the colored pencil lines gets erased somewhat too. So I'm guessing you'd have to go over it again carefully with the colored pencil, right?

Well, you see, I do the coloured lines as I erase pencil lines. So it pretty much goes like this: sketch by pencil -> erase -> coloured pencil lines. The sketching is to help me get a better view on what I'm doing and once I've done that, I erase it little by little as I replace it with colours. :3 It do a lot of switching between drawing and erasing at that point.

Yeah, that's true. >.< But for me, I just wish hands were easier. They're always my least favorite part to draw. :-\ They anger me like crazy when I can't get 'em just right. DX And I've looked at tons of hand tutorials.

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean... Interesting thing is, I think most artists struggle with hands the most. I don't think even toes are as hard to draw. :'D Even though hands are what you probably see most during the day, they're still so impossible! That's probably one reason why beginner artists (also when I was among them) draw hands behind the back or make up any reason to hide them. I don't blame anyone for doing so. :'D

I feel ya there. :'D I'm trying to practice a lot with them, too. Been taking me years to get where I am now... XD It's kind of sad. But yeah, it's annoying sometimes to read comics when the artist draws the hands so well in each panel. Good for them, of course, but damnit!

Yeah, there was a time I stopped drawing, and then when I decided to get back into it, my skills were really rusty, so I pretty much had to start from zero all over again, it's taken me years too. >.<
And yeah, I get so envious when their hands are better than mine!! DX Wonder how many more years it'll take me to finally get good at hands...SIGH!!! -.-

Aww, man, that certainly sucks. :C Drawing is something you have to keep doing so you keep your skills intact. Even when you don't feel like doing it, but I can understand how it is. I've stopped drawing for longer periods of time, too, but they were only half a year at best. Sometimes you just don't feel like it!
