For the f/4 max aperture, well it's not really a problem since with this kind of lens, you almost only use very small apertures such as f/16 (landscpae, architecture etc.). And for indoor photography, you will most of the time use a tripod.
Just a short remark anyway : don't expect to shoot a lot of portraits with this type of lens, the distortion of the wide angle is such that you will often end up with a terrible result, no matter how good your lens is.
